    • Q:

I am told that the PRO 92cW-TH transmitter does not have a "mute" button or "standby". Is this fact ? I have to be able to "mute" or turn on/off the headset during a performance. Is there a on/off power switch on the transmitter .. I also was told there is not an on/off power switch on the receiver ?!

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

Thank you for your inquiry. That is correct the PRO 92cW-TH is just the microphone, not a transmitter. This needs to be plugged into a wireless transmitter(body pack). All of our wireless receivers in our various wireless systems have on/off switches, however depending on what wireless system you are using will determine whether or not the transmitter the mic is plugged into has a mute button or not. • Q:

Is this mic for singing or would it be better to go with a dynamic mic?
      Asked on 8/25/2015 by Batya

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

We typically recommend other models for singing. It does not have to be a dynamic model however. For a headworn microphone of this style, I recommend the BP892cW (omni condenser). Other suitable models are the ATM73cW (cardioid condenser) and the PRO 8HEcW (hypercardioid dynamic). The ATM 73cW and the PRO 8HEcW are good choices for noisey or feedback prone environments.

      I'm having problems with stability

does Audio Technica make any rubber adaptors for the part that goes around the ear to stabilize the microphone into one place? The collar attachment is already being used... other ministers that speak at our church are having issues with it wanting to flop away from there face while preaching. Thank you for your help with this matter!

      • A:

Thank you for your inquiry. Most often this is caused by not leaving enough slack between the collar clip and the microphone.

    • Q:

Does anyone have an image showing the proper way to fit the 92cw mic?

I am having trouble keeping the 92cw in place. The wire is stiff and the mic moves when you turn your head.

I am already using the clip, but it still does not work. With no image I cannot determine how to position the mic. How about you put one on properly, take your phone and snap a picture and send it to me please.

      • A:

Thank you for your inquiry. Please make sure that you are using the collar clip with the microphone. This keeps the cable from tugging at the microphone.

      atw-t701

I am wondering if this microphone will work with the ATW-T701 unit that I have?

      • A:

The "cW" in any Audio-Technica product title means that it will connect to Audio-Technica wireless systems. This includes the ATW-T701. It does NOT include the PRO88w and the ATR288w.

      Audio-Technica PRO92CW Wireless Headset Microphone

What type of connection does this unit have, & can it be used with DJ equipment?
Asked on 9/6/2012 by AlPJr from New Orleans, LA, USA

      1 answer

      • A:

The PRO92cW Microphone is designed specifically for use with Audio-Technica UniPak bodypack Transmitter Wireless Systems. The connector on the microphone is a 4-pin Hirose type connector and it is wired to match our transmitters. The microphone can be adapted for wired use by adding the AT8539 Power Module to it. The output connector on the AT8539 Power Module is a standard size 3-pin XLR male type connector. The device you are connecting the microphone to must provide phantom power (from 12 to 48V DC is acceptable) to power the module/microphone. If the device does not provide phantom power, you can install an inline phantom power supply (such as our model AT8801 48 Volt Single-channel Phantom Power Supply) between the Power Module and the device.
