        A:

For a microphone to mate properly to an ATW-T801, it must have a "cW" in the title. This could be the ATM73cW, PRO8HEcW, AT831cW, MT831cW, BP892cW, etc.

hello and thank you for reading this, i have a yamaha keyboard with mic inut and often, i am limited with mic stand, i never tried the Audio-Technica ATW-73-cW headset but just want to ask you if it will be the same quality of sound? IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR ME TO HAVE A HEADSET INSTEAD OF BEING FORCED TO USE MIC STAND,as i understand, it simply plugs into quarter inch input on my keyboard like my wired mic, thanks so much, i am very interested in this product if i can get the same quality of sound, thanks!!

Audio-Technica utilizes a 4 pin Hirose connection which is in the shape of a square.

    • Q:

Do I sacrifice any sound quality using a Freedom 200 series body pac and reciever with an ATM 73Mic

Recently purchased a ATM73cw mic. I have a 200 series system with a ATW-R250 receiver, ATW-T201 transmitter. This mic is much better than the one that came with the Freedom 200 system; but do I sacrifice any sound quality using the freedom system with this mic?
Asked on 3/11/2015 by Hburt from Alabama, USA

      • A:

Thank you for your inquiry. Any microphone can be limited or colored by the characteristics of the wireless system it is connected to. The 200 series is our entry level system, but even so it is a good sounding system. Depending upon your use of the microphone and wireless system this system may or may not meet your need. You could spend more money on a higher cost system and get a better sound, but you will have to judge if your application would merit spending the extra money. If you decide to upgrade you may want to look at our System 10 (link below).

Will the ATM73cW or PRO 8HEcW work with the ATM-T35 Transmitter
Asked on 9/16/2014 by JAYJ from Maryland

      1 answer

      • A:

Either model will work with the T35 Transmitter. Note that any of our microphones or cables for wireless whose model number contains the letters "cW" will have the 4-pin female Hirose connector that you need on them.

    • Q:

Will thuis microphone work with my ATW-T201?

I need a good head worn Microphone remote that is compatible with my Audio-Technica 200 series system. The "hook over one ear mic that came with the system is a piece of howling feedback or no volume on the floor!" Plus, it keeps falling off my ear. I need to be able to talk to my students and this doesn't cut it. Please Help! The microphone I am looking for fits like a headset. The mic has a wind cover for pop and wow. The problem I am having is the connection to my transmitter with its three prong set-up.

      • A:

The headworn microphones that will work with your 200 Series are the following:

        • ATM73cW
        • ATM75cW
        • PRO 8HEcW
        • PRO 92cW
        • AT889cW
        • AT892cW*
        • AT893cW*

        *add a –TH for Beige

The “cW” means that it will mate properly to A-T Bodypack/UniPak Transmitters, including the 200 Series, and excluding the PRO 88w and the ATR288w. To review each product, please visit www.audio-technica.com.

In terms of Feedback, please visit the Audio-Technica website (www.audio-technica.com), go to SUPPORT, click "Using Microphones", then "A Brief Guide to Microphones ", and select "Two Common Problems" to learn more about how to deal with Feedback. Given that information, you might want to try gaining back your transmitter slightly as to have a better gain-structure.
