    • Q:

Is this mike suitable for both vocal and acoustic guitar applications? How does it compare to the 831b?
      Asked on 1/19/2015 by RileyJ

      1 answer

      • A:

These are the same microphone. They are just terminated differently. The AT831cW is for use with an a-t brand wireless system. It uses a 4-pin female Hirose type output connector andmay be used with any of our wireless systems that include a UniPak model bodypack Transmitter.
The AT831b is a wired microphone which can be phantom or battery powered. The output connector on the provided inline power module is a standard balanced 3-pin XLR male type connector. Use a standard XLR female to XLR male microphone cable to connect the power module to the microphone input on the audio system. Either model is suitable for your application.
