  • Overview

The ATW-DA49 is a UHF (wide-band 440-900 MHz) active unity-gain diversity antenna distribution system that enables one pair of antennas to feed multiple wireless systems. Provides two “1-in, 4-out” RF channels; connects a pair of antennas to as many as four wireless receivers. Either passive or active antennas may be used. Both input jacks offer switchable +12V DC output on their center pins to operate Audio-Technica powered antennas or other in-line RF devices if desired. The unit features all-metal construction for extreme durability and protection from radio frequency interference.

The ATW-DA49 is designed to complement Audio-Technica 2000 and 3000 Series wireless systems. It is also suitable for many other wireless systems operating within the 440-900 MHz range.

Includes ten RF cables, front-mount antenna cables and connectors, four DC power cables, +12V DC desktop power supply with detachable IEC power cable, and ATW-RM1 rack-mount hardware kit to permit attachment in a standard 19” rack space.

What is the part number for a replacement power supply?
Asked on 5/27/2015 by TechNick from Omaha, NE, USA

      1 answer

      • A:

There are two pieces to the power supply for the ATW-DA49 Antenna Distribution system. The AC line cord is detachable and therefore is one piece. The part number for the AC Line Cord only is 960002230. The part number for the Switching Power Supply only is P11686.

    • Q:

Is there a way to support 6 wireless receivers using one ATW-DA49?

I have 6 Audio-Technica receivers. Is it a way to use one ATW-DA49 Distribution System for all 6 receivers? If so, will I lose anything or cause interference?
Asked on 1/30/2014 by HarveyD from Houston, TX, USA

      1 answer

      • A:

There is no way to use one ATW-DA49 with 6 receivers. To support up to 7 receivers with one set of antennas, then two DA49's would be needed.

    • Q:

When joining two DA-49 together with the 8630 plate can I still mount the 2 antennas on the front on the short ears?
Asked on 2/27/2013 by TEMP from SC

      1 answer

      • A:

You would need one standard long ear, and the long ear from the RM1 (included with the DA49) to front mount the antennas in the configuration you'd like.

        Thanks!

      RF Interference

When we used your ATW-DA49 in close proximity to our 161mhz Marti broadcast transmitter, the intermod into your unit was so great as to render it unusable. Any suggestions as to how we can cut out the intermod. We cannot move either unit from its existing location.

Thank you for your inquiry. Any UHF passive or active antenna with work with the ATW-DA49 withing the range 440-900 MHz . Please note that if using active antenna you must turn on antenna power inside the unit. Our models of active antenna are the ATW-A54P (500 MHz) and the ATW-A64P (600 MHz)

How efficient is the ATW-DA49 for Band C vs. the AEW-DA550C

I have four series 3000 on Band C an four on Band D an also have two series 2000. I like to get a distribution system that work's but need to know more about these two systems

      • A:

Thank you for your inquiry. The AEW-DA550C is filtered to work only with the C band and the AEW-DA6660 is filieterd to work with the D band only. The ATW-DA49 is wide band and will work well when mixing bands. Please note when mixing bands make sure that you also use wide band antenna such as out ATW-A49.

    • Q:

How many ATW-DA49 Antenna Distribution Units can be linked together without loss?

I would like to put together a 3000 series system comprised of 16 units. Can I use all four distribution units linked to one pair of antennas?

      Thanks,
      Jared

      • A:

Thank you for your inquiry. You can use one ATW-DA49 as a hub and connect 4 other ATW-DA49's to it via the receiver ports for a total of 16 wireless systems. The antenna would connect to the hub ATW-DA49. Please note that you cannot connect a third level of ATW-DA49's because the signal loss would be significant.
