    • Q:

      Re-Our church sound system. Our Audio Technica AT-829 mic was wired to 4 pin mini XLR connector and used with a Mipro ACT707TE transmitter. The connector was broken off and now we have a cable with 3 wires RED/Yellow/Shield(GND). Please identify these three wires so that the AT-829 can be reconnected to the XLR connector. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks;

      Will this AT829Cw Carioid Condenser Lavalier microphone work with our churches' ATW-2120ad handheld wireless transmitter?

        A:

        The ATW-2120aD Wireless System is a Handheld wireless microphone system. If you want to use the AT829cW Lavalier microphone IN PLACE OF the Handheld Microphone, you may do so as long as you also purchase the ATW-T210aD UniPak bodypack Transmitter to plug the lavalier microphone into. If you need the ability to use BOTH the Handheld microphone and the lavalier microphone at the same time, you will need a second complete system, the ATW-2129a. You will also need an additional MIC input on your Mixer or Amplifier to connect the lavalier system to. Set the wireless systems to different channels (frequencies) so they do not interfere with each other.

      Is this a Case Style M8 microphone?

      Does Audio Technica have a handy decoder ring for case styles vs. model numbers anywhere? So many accessories are by case style.

        Thank you for your inquiry.

        Yes, any wireless microphone that ends in the code "cW" which indicates the cable terminates with the 4 pin HRS connector used on Audio-Technica UniPak transmitters.

    • Q:

      Whats the difference between the AT829cW and the AT831cW?

      We lost our lavalier mic, but don't know which one to get.
      We have the 3000 series C receiver(541-566MHz). Did they improve one or did they just changed the clip-on lapel.
      Asked on 9/14/2014 by RichDrapiza from Taylor, MI, USA

      • A:

        These are two different microphones. The AT829cW is our most affordable lavalier microphone that fits our UniPak model bodypack Transmitters. It is a molded plastic body microphone with a non-replaceable element. The AT831cW is a step up, and it is one of our most popular models. It is a metal body microphone with a replaceable element. The AT831cW has higher sensitivity, wider frequency response, and is more durable.
