        Comments about Audio-Technica CN5625AL Cartridge:

I purchased this cartridge to install on my Luxman PD-284 turntable that I found at a thrift store. Clean sound, not bright like some cartridges. Channel separation is a bit shy but for the price you get a very decent cartridge. Great cartridge for someone on a budget but want good entry level quality.

            Comments about Audio-Technica CN5625AL Cartridge:

For the low price, this is an excellent quality cartridge. Using the same turntable and tonearm to compare, the CN5625AL has comparable quality to my AKG P15.

Thank you for your inquiry. It is hard to find any technical information on this, although I did find someone using an AT100E cartridge. The CN5625AL may work, but I cant find any information other than marketing stuff about the turntable.

                A:

Thank you for your inquiry. This cartridge will work, but is probably not the best route to go. Your turntable has a medium tonearm mass which is best suited with a medium compliance cartridge. The CN5625AL is a low compliance cartridge. A better choice would be the AT100E, although that is a more expensive cartridge.

Thank you for your inquiry. I can find very little information about this turntable. I'm not sure that your cartridge can be replaced. The turntable was originally fitted with an ATN-3600DLX stylus which is available at LPgear.com

                A:

Thank you for your inquiry. It is my understanding this turntable needs a special adapter to mount a half in cartridge. If you have that adapter you may want to look at a higher compliance cartridge such as the AT95E since your tonearm is very lightweight.

Thank you for your inquiry. I would not use the CN5625AL on this turntable. This cartridge is rated as a Low compliance cartridge. At 17.6 gr the effective tone arm mass of your turntable is rated as a medium mass tone arm, so I would suggest a medium compliance cartridge such as the AT95E.

I have a 30-year old Denon turntable with a Shure type V cartridge mounted on the tonearm using two screws on the top of the cartridge. I presume that this is a standard mount tonearm. Can I use this cartridge to replace the existing Shure cartridge?
