Q:Is this (VM540ML) a good match for a low mass (6,0g) tonearm on the Pro-ject Debut Carbon?
A:Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately the VM540ML is a medium compliance cartridge, and your turntable needs a high compliance cartridge. Your turntable also only works with cartridges that are between 4.5-6g and we do not have any cartridge that will fit under these two conditions.
Q:The two compliance specifications listed, static and dynamic, are very different from each other. Which of the two measurements, would indicate whether this cartridge would be considered high compliance or low compliance compared with other moving magnet cartridges?
A:Thanks for your inquiry. The VM540ML is consider a medium compliance cartridge. For your future reference, you will look at the dynamic compliance to determine whether the cartridge is high, medium or low compliance.
Q:I have a AT 130 E which I loved. Loved it so much I killed it. Since it is no longer made, what is it's replacement?
Q:A reader has already asked if the VMN40ML stylus is compatible with his AT440MLB cartridge: yes, it is. I'm doing the same thing. My question: does the tracking force (once the VMN40ML stylus is installed on the 440MLB body) have to be increased half a gram or more (1.8 to 2.2 grams) over the old AT440MLB weight of 1.0 to 1.8 grams, or is this increased weight only necessary when you buy an entire VM540ML cartridge? Why the significant increase in stylus force with this new stylus? Thank you!
Q:Would this stylus be compatible with my old AT440mlb cartridge?
