        Comments about Audio-Technica AT120Eb Cartridge:

This cartridge is perfect for replacement of all sorts of cartridges having worn needles. Most consumer turntables sitting in the attic that are going to be used again, will probably have a worn needle or cartridges that are no longer fit for use. Because the cantilever suspension is hardened. Just to stay on the safe side, replace this very important part of the turntable. That's where this exellent cart comes in. You can't go wrong but prior to install the product, check your turntable or have it checked if you're not sure how to do service your turntable. In most cases, this cartridge will outperform your existing cart, even if you replace that worn needle with a new one. For serious listening at reasonable prices. I have it in use for five years now, the needle is still in very good shape. Check your tone arm settings regularly, you will be rewarded with longevity of the needle, saving lots of cash that can be spend on records!

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the AT120eB or the AT440MLb would be a good choice.

Thank you for your inquiry. The AT100E would be better because of the dynamic compliance.

Would this at120eb cartridge work on my pro-Jeff debut IIi tone arm. I am replacing my ortofon 5e and wanted to get this but unsure of its compatibility with the tone arm. And if it's at all possible.

          Thanks

Thank you for your inquiry. The AT120eb should work it is a 1/2" mount with a compliance of 17.5 (based on 10 Hz) while the Ortofon OM 5E compliance is 20. Close enough.

        • Q:

I have a Nakamichi CA7A preamp with a dedicated mm/mc phono section. It asks for the specific capacitance of the mm cartridge being used. I use an AT120EB mm cartridge. The three capacitance setting choices I have are 30, 100, 300 pf. I need to set each channel independently.
          Thank you.

            A:

It's difficult to tel whether this was a P-Mount or 1/2" mount turntable. Because we are not certain and cannot find enough information, I will more-so recommend the AT311EP Universal Cartridge (fits both P-Mount and 1/2"). If you do have a 1/2" mount turntable, then the AT120Eb should work just fine.
