A Service Bulletin has been issued on Audio-Technica 700 Series wireless microphone systems and Digital Reference DR2505 and DR2606 wireless microphone systems.
Audio-Technica has discovered a potential performance problem with some receivers in the 700 Series wireless systems and Digital Reference DR2505 and DR2606 wireless systems. Due to a defective capacitor, some of these units produce no audio output, despite showing an RF signal.
To identify and replace all affected units, Audio-Technica is recalling all 700 Series and Digital Reference DR2505 and DR2606 wireless systems with receiver serial numbers beginning in 0924 and 0928. The defective units shipped from Audio-Technica between July 22 and September 16, 2009. The company will cover the cost of product return and repair.
If you have a receiver with a serial number beginning with 0924 or 0928, please return your wireless system (receiver, transmitter and all components) to your original point of purchase for exchange.
If it is inconvenient for you to return the system to the point of purchase, you can return your receiver directly to Audio-Technica for warranty repair. To return your receiver, please email Audio-Technica’s service department at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “700 Series capacitor.” Please include your name, UPS deliverable address and number of receivers to be returned in the email body. We will email you instructions on how to return your product. Please send only your 700 Series Receiver(s) to Audio-Technica; do not include other system components. Audio-Technica will cover the shipping costs.
The serial number is located on the bottom of the receiver:
We sincerely regret any inconvenience and are committed to solving the problem as quickly as possible with this product replacement program.
