A new Audio-Technica offering—the totally re-engineered Artist Series—will make its AES debut at the 121st Audio Engineering Society Convention at San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center Oct. 6 - 8, in Booth #210.

The next generation of A-T’s classic Artist Series live-sound microphones has been re-engineered from the ground up, with the addition of the ATM250DE dual-element kick drum mic, the ATM450 pencil side-address condenser, the ATM710 vocal condenser and other innovative microphones; classic models have also been upgraded for a comprehensive selection of vocal, instrument and drum mics.

Along with highlighting new products, the Audio-Technica booth will offer a unique look under the hood of 40 Series studio mics, which will be displayed to reveal the inner workings—allowing up-close views of interior components.

The A-T booth will also offer a dedicated listening area where visitors can experience a wide variety of A-T microphones.

On the Oct. 7, the second night of the AES Convention, the winners of the 22nd annual TEC Awards will be announced at a ceremony at the Hilton San Francisco. A-T’s 2006 TEC Awards nominations for Outstanding Technical Achievement are the UniPoint® line of miniature condenser microphones and the 3000 Series Frequency-agile True Diversity UHF Wireless Systems.
