Shotgun microphones
AT8015 and AT8035 Line + Gradient Condenser Microphones
With the new AT8015 and AT8035 line + gradient condenser microphones, Audio-Technica has built on the success of its AT815b and AT835b, well-established as primary shotgun choices for corporate, industrial and event video producers with growing interest from the broadcast market. The new AT8015 (18" long) and AT8035 (14.5" long) provide the narrow acceptance angle desirable for long-distance sound pickup; they offer excellent sound rejection from the sides and rear, switchable low-frequency roll-off, and the convenience of battery or phantom operation.

AT875R Line + Gradient Condenser Microphone
This new mic is a very short — under 7" — phantom powered (11-52V DC) shotgun ideal for use in ENG and field production applications where a more compact camera may dictate a shotgun even shorter than the Audio-Technica AT897 and AT4073. Affordably priced, the AT875R is ideal for the corporate and event videographer as well as the field sound recordist looking for a compact shotgun microphone. With a frequency response of 100 Hz – 20 kHz, the microphone is designed to handle sound input levels up to 127 dB SPL. Its tailored low end response minimizes pickup of camera mechanical noise and other undesirable low frequencies. Just 6.9" long and 0.89" in diameter, the AT875R features an integral XLR-3M connector. The product is packaged with a windscreen, protective case, mic clip, and an adapter bushing that allows the microphone to fit the mic holders on popular DV cameras.

AT897 Line + Gradient Condenser Microphone
Just 11" long, the AT897 mounts conveniently on a DV camcorder without adding noticeable heft. This high-performance short shotgun microphone is designed for field audio acquisition in film/TV/video production, professional recording, wildlife recording and broadcast applications. The microphone offers outstanding long-distance audio pickup due to narrow acceptance angle of line + gradient design. It also features smooth, natural-sounding on-axis audio quality and excellent off-axis rejection of sound arriving from the sides and rear of mic. It offers roll-off switching and the convenience of phantom or battery operation.

Stereo shotgun
BP4027 and BP4029 Stereo Shotgun Microphones
Based on models originally developed for the Sydney Olympics in 2000, the new BP4027 (14.96" long) and BP4029 (9.29" long) Stereo Shotgun models are engineered for high-end broadcast and production use. Both microphones feature independent line-cardioid and figure-of-eight elements configured in an MS (Mid-Side) arrangement with switch-selectable internal matrixing.

These innovative microphones allow sound recordists the choice of selecting a left-right stereo output (wide or narrow) via the microphone’s internal matrixing system or choosing discreet Mid-Side signals for later manipulation, a flexibility not available from any other manufacturer.

A switchable low frequency roll-off filter helps minimize the pickup of unwanted low frequency noise. These phantom-powered models feature a rugged lightweight design and sleek black color scheme, perfect for on-camera use.
