Top performers, engineers and producers turn to Audio-Technica Artist Elite® wireless and hard-wired microphones to achieve their signature sound.

Brendon Brown, Hoobastank’s Tour Manager and FOH Mixer, says the AE3000 is his personal favorite. “It’s great-sounding and durable. The AE3000 stays on axis throughout the whole performance. They also can take a direct hit with a stick and stay put.”

“The combination of Audio-Technica microphones on all aspects of the show really makes a live show sound like a record,” says Good Charlotte’s FOH mixer Gary Ferenchak. “That’s the highest compliment you can pay to a microphone.”

“We switched mid-tour to Audio-Technica: these are all beautiful-sounding microphones,” says Josh Swart, who mixes monitors for Evanescence.

Hilary Duff’s monitor engineer James “Pugsley” McDermott comments on the flawless performances using A-T night-after-night, “With the 5000 Series, we have had zero drop outs on the 36 dates we’ve just completed. These wireless systems have been dropped, been abused, and they just keep going.”

“Kenny never endorses anything, so that tells you a lot about how we’ve all come to rely on A-T microphones on this tour,” says Phillip Robinson, Monitor Mixer with Kenny Chesney and his band. “These microphones are as road-worthy as we all are, and they prove it every night.”

In addition to the A-T wired mics, Linkin Park vocalists Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda are using Artist Elite handheld wireless systems. Front-of-house (FOH) engineer Brad Divens comments, “After evaluating all the wireless systems currently available, the A-T wireless just sounded more natural, and that’s what the band was looking for.”

“A-T microphones are amazing and true,” says Bobby Filarowicz, Monitor Mixer with Los Lonely Boys. “The gain before feedback performance of all of the microphones is incredible.”

“The AE2500 is absolutely stunning on guitar cabinets,” says Metallica front-of-house engineer Mick Hughes. “It’s a very, very big sound.”

Danny Perdieu, Phil Vassar’s FOH Mixer and Tour Manager says “A-T’s wireless microphones can handle the full vocal range; they’re the only mics I’ve found that give me a real sonic ‘canvas’ to paint on.”

“A-T mics make the difference between good sound and great sound,” says Sevendust FOH mixer Andy Meyer.

“Audio-Technica is the only line of microphones that gives you studio-level quality in live performance. Nothing else compares,” says Steven Curtis Chapman.
