As part of Audio-Technica’s commitment to create products that contribute to a sustainable environment, the new Engineered Sound line is environmentally friendly—free from all substances specified in the EU directive on the reduction of hazardous substances (RoHS).
Other new features include the innovative PivotPoint® rotating connector on applicable boundary microphones, superior off-axis rejection for improved gain before feedback, and an 80 Hz UniSteep® filter for removal of unwanted low frequencies without affecting vocal quality. Four new interchangeable elements lend additional flexibility, with cardioid, hypercardioid and omnidirectional elements offered, as well as the MicroLine™ (90º pickup pattern).

The housing of the ES961, ES961W and ES961RC microphones incorporates PivotPoint®, an innovative rotating output connector that allows the cable to exit from either the back or the bottom of the microphone. The ES961RC is equipped with programmable switches and LED status indicators for easy, flexible control in conference and boardroom installations.
Engineered Sound gooseneck microphones are ideal for boardroom, school, government, house of worship and other installed applications. The improved, easy-to-adjust, small-diameter gooseneck with virtually no “memory” permits smooth, quiet and quick positioning into the desired shape. The goosenecks’ super-robust design also resists inadvertent repositioning.
