We have owned these for nearly 1 year and we are going to buy 1 more pair of noise cancelling headphones but what keeps us from buying these again is the headband on these headphones. the plastic is hard and not comfortable at all. I was wondering if anyone has done anything to make the headband more comfortable that doesnt make the headphones look silly?

The ear pad and vinvl is a big problem with current Audio-Technica phones. I have A/T phones that retail at $299 and the pads and vinvl came off. A/T has replacement vinvl and form pad for many of their phones. They will send you the replacements for free.
Good Luck

Answer:Â
Thank you for your inquiry. We have always recommended alkaline batteries for our products primarily because of battery life and expense. Rechargeable batteries have come a long way and offer much longer life than those of the past, although you may have to spend a good deal of money for a good rechargeable system. We have many customers that use rechargeable batteries with success. Please note that we have a lot of information on our FAQ page on our web site about batteries and I highly recommend reading this information before investing in a rechargeable system. (Link below). Also, please note that rechargeable batteries can very in size and battery post length, so you must be careful to select a battery that is the same size as their alkaline counterpart or else they may not fit or work.

My husband's 10-month-old ATH-ANC1 broke at the point of the headpiece on the earpiece - is there any way to repair that one piece without buying a whole 'nother set?

Thank you for your inquiry. Each ear cup adjusts up and down and the headband has a good deal of "spring" to hold it firmly to the head. It fits quite comfortably on my petite, 10 year old daughter.
