ATH-ANC33iS QuietPoint® Active Noise-Cancelling In-Ear Headphones
Audio quality is great
Audio quality is there, however, after only two months of use, the headset started malfunctioning and causing iPod to start/stop music and jumping from song to song while in use. I tried them on another iPod and it did the same. Replaced batteries in noise canceling compartment, still malfunctioning. I had expected better quality from audio-technica and was very disappointed with this problem. They fit and feel great, sound quality is great ,but those features are a moot point when they don't work!

Great, but malfunctioned after 6 months
I compared these with some over-the-ear Audio Technica (ATH-ANC9) headphones and found the noise cancellation to be nearly as good—maybe 75-80%, so I kept these. The sound quality was rich as well.
Unfortunately, within about 6 months, I started having issues with the headphones hanging up on phone calls, starting/stopping music, etc. This would happen even when the button was not being moved, nor any wires or the jack—just sitting quietly, and something about the wiring of the headphones would trigger the button function.
This unfortunately makes my investment pretty much unusable.

Drops calls if wire moves
I bought these at an airport after a flight where I had to cup my hands over my ears to hear through my iPhone headphones. The sound quality and noise reudction are very good.
HOWEVER (and this is a deal--breaker) there is a bad connection between the plug and my iPhone 6. This connection issue causes the following problems:
1. if the plug moves during a call, annoying staticis heard on the line
2. The it will ultimately and without fail cause the call to hang up.
3. If plugged in when not on a call, it mysteriously activates Siri
Thus, if I'm using the headphones on a call, I have to place the phone on a table and isolate all movement of the plug, lest I get disconnected.
All-in-all, though the NR, sound quality, form factor, and price all fit the bill, the quality issues are show stopper. I will have to return when I next go through the airport.

bought these as fit was comfortble and sound was good. enjoy listening to music but find that noice cancelling housing is not very practical as clip that holds it does not keep it in place causing it to fall and pull ear phones out of ears. Given the choice again I would not purchase these.

Good purchase, very comfortable earbuds
I bought these to replace Brand K 4si which were okay but not anywhere near as good as the Brand B noise cancelling headphones. (They are great but too cumbersome for travel anymore). So I checked several audio mag reviews and thought these Audio Technica might fit the bill without the cost of the crazy expensive competitor earbuds.
I am very impressed and with the compressable foam covers find them both comfortable and decent at mitigating a lot of the noise on the plane.
Sadly, the battery pack is rather heavy, with on AAA battery and keeping it clipped on to a sweater or jacket is difficult. So difficult in fact that the clip broke off exposing a sharp medal spring.
I hope that can be fixed as I do like these and save this problem would recommend them - especially at this price point.

Malfunction after 2 weeks of use
I use this product to listen to music while I exercise on the threadmill. After using it for 2 weeks I noticed that the music started to sound muted. After changing the batteries, the problem persisted. I then compared the sound level with that provided by a regular headphone and, indeed, the sound became very muted. The noise cancelling feature still seems to work, although also at lower efficiency.

These ones are replacing my pricey noice-cancelling headphones
Got these at the airport as an alternative to a set of pricey noise-cancelling headphones from another brand I bought just 3 months ago. Headphones can be a bit bulky and get in the way if you want to sleep on a plane, so in-ear headphones are a good alternative (to sleep, just turn on noise cancellation without listening to any audio source). Noise-cancellation works like a charm and just as good or better than any other brand or model I've used before.
I'm keeping these In-Ear headphones and selling my other ones now. Great portability and good sound at a third of the price for what I paid for the others.
Last, but not least, one of Audio-Technica's strongest points: you can leave noise-cancellation off and still use your headphones like normal passive headphones (though I'm not sure if this applies to their whole range) - a feature that I really appreciate.

Bought this at airport for my blackberry for use on plane and while driving in car. They work really well and are comfortable.
Only issue i have with any of these types of devices is the wear and tear on the phono jack inserting and removing from device. seems like mre strain relief would be used to prevent wire damage. For the price they work really nice and less bulky than set of head phones.
