MAJOR sound in a mini headphone

This is a fine musical instument that reproduces music much better than "buds" but it is NOT a "throw around plug-n-play" item. If you take the time for burn-in and precisely adjust your hangers for optimum fit you will be rewarded with clean,strong distortion free sound that will entice you to build your MP3 library in many musical genres. I matched this unit with a Sandisk clip+ and it reproduced the uncompressed data with superb results. Will it reproduce good bass since it's an "on-ear" design? Yes, but you must have a distortion free sound source and adjust the positioning on your ear just right#these are adjustable#. If you have some tunes that are "bass dependent" #hip-hop#add a FiiO E6 min-amp and you will be happy. Since these are not buds you need to take due care when putting them on and taking them off and storing them. I wouldn't recommend them for a jogger or extreme aerobics but they work fine for walking and slow basic workout exercise in a/c. These mini-headphones are a work of art that will please the beholder with beauty to be seen and heard. Don't buy them if you don't know how to take care of them.

Great sound quality, you are able to here the different textures and layers. They are also fashionable and casual and not to showy for casual events or work. The first time I listened to my favorite song with the ATH-EW9 I knew that they were the best I could get for a reasonible price.
Overall they were created with excellence in mind.
