Have been using these ATH-CKM50's over a year, thoroughly impressed and can't complain about anything! BEST SOUNDING PAIR of In Ear Monitors for the $, HANDS DOWN, THUMBS UP, SCREAMING FROM THE ROOF TOPS! Love the cord extension disconnect, has saved me over a dozen times from snags that would have otherwise ripped the cord to shreds.
Only serious suggestion is to add a braided fiber/nylon cord for durability/physical contact feedback reduction/tangle resistance.
I hope A-T will consider this design/quality again in future buds, and hopefully add the braided fiber cable!
ps - Had written a long in depth review but during the preview page I hit the backspace button, making the browser go back a page, erasing 2 hrs of work... so this review short and to the point, sorry...
Still, love A-T for these well built buds and also equally astounding ATH-M40FS's, using for budget PC gaming/music.
I love these earbuds I have had them for a year now and have been very pleased. The only complaint I have about these is the length of the cord. I did buy the comfort foam tips and found they work very well on these. Sound quality wise these earbuds are outstanding and are some of the best I've heard. The bass is present but not overwhelming, the mids are perfect, the vocals are great, highs are right where they need to be and they are not recessed at all. This all comes together for a very clean and crisp sounding earbud that is great for all genres. Don't even hesitate buying if you can still find a pair to buy, they are the "m50's of earbuds"
