Extreme sound loss The overall audio quality is great and the headphones are very comfortable and flexible (and fit well), but voices sound very funny and muffled through them and deep bass is hard to hear. Worst of all, the sound leaked from the headphones is terrible. Even at a moderate volume setting the headphones still are louder them my laptop's speakers are. The only advantage to the headphone's extreme sound leaking issue is that voices actually sound better when someone else is wearing the headphones. If you plan to use these headphones for studio recording (which you should), the sound leaked from the headphones almost makes them useless. December 25, 2012
Extremely reliable headphones I've had these headphones for more than five years. They have been my headphone of choice for the entire time. They got some wear and tear being thrown in a backpack since (my one complaint) they are pretty bulky and don't fold. The durability of the headphones made up for this treatment though. After the first three years the cover on the foam ear pads wore off, but that was just cosmetic as the foam itself could handle wear pretty well on its own. After four years the headphones began to resonate a little certain frequencies were hit, but a quick tap stopped it and it remains only an occasional problem. Other than that the sound is still good, although not as great as it was for the first three years. After nearly six years the wires in the cord near the plug have frayed and the sound drops out occasionally. I may simply strip and re-solider the plug, or I may buy new ones. If I buy any headphones though they will be Audio Technica. November 21, 2011
They do the job. I've used these earphones for a few years, with satisfaction- they seem unhyped and natural, at low, safe volumes, and have been very durable. I used them for non-critical production and listening/monitoring purposes, and then gave them to my Godson who I am sure will get mileage out of them. Money well spent. October 30, 2011
good product at a good price i use these headphones for multitracking as well as quietly playing electronic drums. they are a good solid set of phones at a good price. comfortable to wear, and have good sound. they even compare very well to my 40-series A/T headphones. If I had only one complaint, it would be that you have to use an adapter for 1/4". I don't like the current trend in phones to have mini plugs, which force you to use the adapters. But bang for the buck, you can't beat these 20-series phones. October 20, 2011
Solid headphones for the money Above average sound quality and build for the money. Great isolation for studio use. Be careful about handling with the wires sticking out a bit from the headband to the ear pieces. I have purchased 3 of them because of the value and quality. October 20, 2011

Can I purchase the standard ear pad as well as an ear pad that provides a tighter seal around the ear to replace the ones that are currently ripping up on my headphones?
