Q:Are there replacement wings available?

Q:Can I purchase the driver from these headphones separately?
A:Yes you can. Please contact our Parts Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5002 or at firstname.lastname@example.org to purchase this item.
Q:Can these headphones be used without an amplifier? Say, plugging in directly to a mobile device or computer?
A:With any current-model Audio-Technica headphones, it is not a requirement to use/purchase a (portable) headphone amplifier to be used in addition to your playback device (such as a mobile device or a computer). However, if you prefer the sound of a dedicated headphone amplifier, that shouldn’t be a problem either.
Q:Is there a frequency response graph available somewhere?
A:Unfortunately, Audio-Technica does NOT offer or publish frequency response curves for any headphones. This is also consistent with other headphone manufactures in the industry. Generally speaking, there is both an art and science to manufacturing headphones, and the frequency response curves for most headphones (not limited to A-T) do NOT always line up with human perception (and thus, the frequency response can appear to be misleading). For headphones, it is always best to judge for yourself whether they sound "good" or not.
Q:What makes these headphones better than the two less expensive modes?
A:Thank you for your inquiry. Although similar, the ATH-AD900X can handle more power and in some cases has better frequency response.
Q:DAC + Amplifier
A:The answer really depends, simply put something like a Fiio E17 will drive it very nice, and the E17 is a DAC and Amp, although I would recommend you get something like a Jds Labs oDac and a Garage 1217 Hybrid Tube Amp, as the AD900X would really sound magical with a hybrid tube!
A:We do not typically make recommendations for these. Personally, I have heard good things about the Audioengine D1 D/A Converter. needledoctor.com is a good source for a DAC + Amplifier.
A:Thank you for your inquiry. Please contact our parts department at 330-686-2600 option 4. They can help with this.
Q:Will W5000 Earpads fit on the AD900X?
A:Thank you for your inquiry. I checked with our service department and they advised that they will fit.
Q:When will the ATH-AD900X be available in the United States?
A:It is available now!
A:Thank you for your inquiry. I believe these woill be available in March.
