Leading front of house engineer, Dave Bracey, once again chose to place Audio-Technica microphones across the back line of the Robbie Williams band for what has been an incredibly successful year of live performances.

10-01-2003 Bracey, a well respected figure in the FOH fraternity, has been a fan of A-T mics for a number of years, during which he has formed a close working relationship with Audio-Technica, and in particular with A-T’s market development manager, Paul Mason. He explains: “It is not simply about the sound of A-T microphones, which is everything you‘d expect from a top manufacturer. It’s also about the support I get from A-T as a company. I know that wherever I am in the world, they are only a phone call away and that I’ll get a helpful and quick response. Added to that, Paul makes sure that I get the opportunity to check out the new products as soon as they come along, so my channel list is constantly evolving.” The result of this close relationship is that a significant number of the microphones employed on the ‘Weekends of Mass Destruction’ tour are made by Audio-Technica. AT4041’s are in position on Hi Hats, Ride and percussion toys, AT4055’s cover Gongs and Djembe drums and AT4054’s tackle female vocals. The male backing vocals are taken care of by AE4100’s, with a number of AT4050’s handling guitars and percussion overheads.
