Audio-Technica Introduces Affordable USB ‘Desktop’ Production Mic. Leeds 03-12-2008 – prolight+sound, messe Frankfurt 12 – 15 March 2008 Hall 8.0 Stand C42 Audio-Technica is showing its new AT2020 USB ‘desktop’ production microphone at prolight+sound. An affordable, large diaphragm, studio condenser design, the AT2020 USB features direct USB connectivity for computer based recording applications, including music production and podcasting. The rugged side-address cardioid condenser microphone enables direct connectivity to either Mac or Windows desktop production suites via USB. Based on the acclaimed AT2020 studio condenser, the AT2020 USB offers high quality articulation and intelligibility in recording acoustic signal sources direct to computer based audio recording systems. The microphone provides both high resolution signal accuracy and a smooth, natural sound. Featuring a custom-engineered low-mass diaphragm, low self-noise and an extended frequency response, the AT2020 USB offers Audio-Technica’s renowned performance standards, build and reliability for desktop audio. The AT2020 USB has a fixed cardioid polar pattern for isolation of the intended signal source from unwanted ambient noise, making it ideal for recording in all kinds of locations; including temporary, home recording and project environments. Phantom power for the cardioid capsule is drawn from the USB connection. The microphone is supplied with a tripod desk stand, stand mount, USB cable and soft protective carrying pouch. The AT2020 USB has an RRP in Europe of €149 ex VAT and £99.95 inc VAT in the UK. |
