At CES 2014 Audio-Technica is introducing its ATR 7000 Series VHF Wireless Microphone Systems, four wireless systems designed for consumer use that combine long-range wireless performance with ease of use, clear, natural sound quality and outstanding value. Incorporating technologies that are directly drawn from Audio-Technica’s industry-standard professional wireless systems, the new models include the ATR7200 handheld wireless, ATR7100/L lavalier, ATR7100/H headworn and ATR7100/G guitar/instrument systems.
“Our new ATR 7000 Series systems are ideal for a wide range of consumer and ‘prosumer’ users, whether they’re a singer who wants the freedom of movement of wireless, a guitarist who’s tired of tripping on his or her cord, a corporate presenter, an educator or anyone seeking a high-value, high-performance wireless microphone system,” said Crystal Griffith, Audio-Technica Consumer Marketing Manager.
All ATR 7000 Series systems are designed for easy setup and use and deliver wireless operation of up to 200 feet. The microphones all feature rugged unidirectional dynamic elements to pick up voices with clarity while rejecting outside noise. The ATR7200 handheld mic has a built-in transmitter, while the ATR7100/L lavalier and ATR7100/H headworn mics include a compact body-pack transmitter with an external volume control. The ATR7100/G guitar model’s transmitter plugs into a guitar’s output jack and can be worn on a belt or a strap.
The receiver units feature Power, RF and AF (audio frequency) Peak indicators and a retractable antenna. The systems operate on one of three available frequency options for interference-free performance.
Suggested retail prices for the Audio-Technica 7000 Series wireless microphone systems are as follows: ATR7200 handheld US$109.95; ATR7100/G guitar US$109.95; ATR7100/L lavalier US$119.95; ATR7100/H headworn US$129.95. All the systems will be available in January 2014.
