Taking the educational initiative, A-T recently sponsored an intensive two-day Syn-Aud-Con seminar for employees at its
Stow, OH headquarters. The event took place February 10th and 11th and was attended by 25 employees from the Sales, Marketing, R&D/Engineering, Quality Control, and Service departments, who were subsequently certified in Sound System Optimization.

Syn-Aud-Con, or Synergetic Audio Concepts, is a highly respected and prolific organization, offering specialized seminars and workshops for the past 30 years, with over 15,000 graduates worldwide to date. Syn-Aud-Con seminars serve as a classroom as well as a showcase for new ideas and equipment. The progressive curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of a variety of audio industry professionals, providing insight and direction on an array of subjects. The System Optimization program held at Audio-Technica focused on the setup and use of sound systems.

Syn-Aud-Con instructor Pat Brown, an experienced contractor/consultant who has designed and installed sound systems for all types of venues, provided an in-depth and comprehensive program to ensure A-T employees are proficient in the numerous aspects of optimizing a sound system in a practical manner. The knowledge gained in this two-day training course will no doubt be put to immediate use, helping Audio-Technica reps to better understand and respond to end-users’ needs and challenges.
