Audio-Technica, the leading Japanese manufacturer of high-performance audio products for home and professional use has reported a successful week at IFA, the world’s largest Consumer Electronics Show, where it showcased its developing range of consumer headphones and continued the expansion of its markets within Europe.
Audio-Technica used IFA to demonstrate its impressive product portfolio and to preview two outstanding new products.
The first of these are the ATH-ES55 portable headphones which simply radiate quality from the cool sleekness of the new hairline finish on their aluminium housings to the slick practicality of the swivel-lock folding mechanism. But not only do they look good, they also deliver an impressive level of sound quality and all at a surprisingly competitive price.
The other new product is the ATH-ESW10 portable headphone system. These extraordinary transducers are being launched as a “Limited Edition” and in this case Audio-Technica really do mean limited. Only 50 pieces of these hand-built masterpieces will be made available for the whole of Europe. They bring the gorgeous finish, quality of construction and superlative sound quality of Audio-Technica’s world re-known “wooden range”; the ATH-W5000 and ATH-W1000; to the portable market, superbly matching the world’s best portable music players. The sound is generated by neodymium magnetic phi 42mm drivers with CCAW voice coils; remarkable transducers that are able to produce a rich and accurate bass smoothly integrated with Audio-Technica’s trademark clarity and fine resolution of detail. Surrounding these transducers are truly exquisite black cherry wood acoustic cups lined with soft lambs-skin leather ear-pads ensuring total listening comfort.
These new models are expected to be launched in the UK towards the end of 2008 and more information on them will be released in the coming weeks.
