For Immediate Release
Audio-Technica Ltd has announced the appointment of Richard Palmer as Sales Manager for Studio Broadcast and Hire.
Palmer, a graduate of Alchemea College of Audio Engineering in London, joins Audio-Technica from Advitel, the leading audio content provider, where he spent six years as Business Development Manager and latterly as Sales Director.
While at Advitel, Palmer was chiefly responsible for positioning the company as the preferred supplier of audio content to major clients, including BT, Carphone Warehouse, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Virgin Media. Thus he brings an extensive knowledge both of sales and channel development, and the audio engineering industry to the new position.
Commenting on the appointment Adrian Rooke, Managing Director Audio-Technica Ltd, stated, “We warmly welcome Richard to our professional market sales team. His considerable career success outside of the pro audio sector was a major factor in his appointment, and he brings a broad perspective of the modern production industry to the position.”
Palmer in turn declared his satisfaction at joining Audio-Technica Ltd at such a significant point in the company’s continuing development. “I am delighted to be working as part of this particular team, to continue to advance our position in the studio, broadcast and hire space,” he said.
“With a portfolio of studio, broadcast, live and wireless products, unrivalled in its breadth and technological distinction, there is compelling reason for the reseller to source their requirements from ‘under one roof’, whilst enjoying a level of sales, marketing and technical support that leads the industry. This places Audio-Technica in a unique position to achieve increasing growth rates in a highly competitive market place.”
34 year old Palmer lives in the historical Leicestershire town of Market Harborough. A talented musician and ardent golfer, his passions for the piano and the green are complemented by weekend sailing and amateur dramatic activities.
