    • Q:

I need to replace the windscreen for my AT8532. Which one will fit? (Thank-you)
Asked on 8/10/2013 by trpt from canada

      • A:

AT8532 is the model number of an associated power module, not the model number of actual microphone. However, your microphone may be an ATM35 CLip-on Instrument Microphone. If so, the Windscreen (which is held in place by the flexible mount) is a part which is available from our Parts Department. Please verify that the Microphone is an ATM35 model microphone and contact our Parts Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5002 or at parts@atus.com to purchase a replacement Windscreen.

The stock windscreen for the PRO 24-CM is available through the Audio-Technica Parts Department. If you are looking for a more extensive windscreen, you may purchase one through Rycote, link below:

    • Q:

      Windscreen for a JVC GR-S505 SVHS-C Camcorder

The microphone cover cage measures about .625 (5/8") in diameter and about 2" in length. Would the AT8129 fit and be the best fit that you offer? The previous post indicated an outside diameter of less than 1/2" and it was OK for that application.

Thank you for your inquiry. I do not believe this will work with your microphone it is less than 1/2 inches in diameter and less than 2 inches. I suggest checking with the folks at Rycote.com. They specialize in windscreens and may have what you need.

I am looking for a replacement windscreen that would fit a Sony ECM-DS30P Electric Condenser Microphone

Do any your foam windscreens fit a Sony ECM-DS30P Electret Condenser Digital Microphone? (http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&partNumber=ECMDS30P#specifications)

The dimensions of the microphone are as follows:
      Dimensions (Approx.) : 7/15 x 2 1/4 " (12 x 57mm) w/o plug
      Weight (Approx.) : 1 oz (17 g)

Thank you for your inquiry. The AT8154 would fit the diameter of the mic but it would be a bit to long. You could easily cut it to the length that you need.
