Q:The cord is breaking up right at the base of the tube, after 8 years of usage. Can I disassemble it and replace the cord?
Q:Does this mic have a max length the wire can be from the Mixer?
A:Thank you for your inquiry. This sounds like your cable is not passing phantom power. Make sure your cable has all three wires, that you are using an XLR to XLR cable, the gorund is not lifted and that phantom power is engaged.
