Comments about Audio-Technica ATM75 Cardioid Condenser Headworn Microphone:

I own two headset microphones. I own a wireless Nady UHF headset and a Audio Technica ATM75. The Audio Technica is a lot better durability and reliability. The headset from Audio Technica stays on my head a lot better than the Nady wireless. The Audio Technica headset mic is made a lot better than the Nady wireless. The Audio Technica is made out of metal for the headset and the Nady is made out of plastic. I like the Audio Technica a lot better.

                A:

Yes, even though the Bose system does not appear to provide any phantom power for condenser microphones, the ATM75 includes the AT8531 power module which will allow you to operate the microphone via a battery in the power module.

                Thank you for your inquiry.

You may order the ATM75c which is "unterminated" and contact our Service Department at Service@atus.com for a Shure connection to be added.

The ATM75 microphone does not incorporate speakers for monitoring.

can the ATM75cw head set mic be used with a wireless belt transmitter & is it compatible with other brands? if not, which wireless system do you offer with phantom power or do i have to wear the power supply
Asked on 11/30/2014 by Starrider from ft myers

              • A:

The ATM75cW head worn microphone can be used with any audio-technica wireless system that includes a UniPak model bodypack transmitter. The UniPak transmitter provides bias voltage to power the microphone. No additional power supply would be needed. The ATM75cW microphone is not compatible with other brands of wireless systems. Most every wireless microphone manufacturer uses either a proprietary connector, a proprietary wiring scheme, specific impedance matching components for their own or other select wireless brands/models, or some combination of these factors.

              Pro88W

I have 2 sets of Pro88W with a lapel mic. I was looking for a headworn mic that might work with the Pro88W. Do you make a headworn mic that would work with the Pro88W or does a new body pack have to be purchased now?

              • A:

The PRO 8HEmW Hypercardioid Dynamic Headworn Microphone is compatible with the PRO 88W Wireless System. See it at the following link. Use it in place of the lapel microphone. You do not need to purchase another body-pack transmitter.
