PRO 24-CM Stereo Condenser Microphone

The PRO 24-CM camcorder microphone is a lightweight, compact stereo condenser ideal for digital recording with high-fidelity stereo sound. Equipped with an accessory shoe and permanently attached coiled cable, the microphone features a pair of cardioid elements in an X-Y configuration to provide the spatial impact and realism of a live sound field. The microphone is designed for either battery operation or battery-free operation when used with camcorders that provide plug-in power at the mic input. Like all Audio-Technica mics, the PRO 24-CM is rugged; it’s built to endure the rigors of field production.

Answer: 
The Canon HF G10 camcorder is equipped with a "mini shoe mount", smaller than a regular 'universal' shoe mount so I would assume you need an adapter to mount the PRO 24-CM.

Hi i am interested in purchasing an external mic for my d5000 to shoot film with and pick up decent audio with, what is the range like and the quality of this mic, and is it compatible with my nikon d5000. Thanks!

If the Nikon D5000 has a 3.5m stereo connector defined as a "mic level" input, it should work.

Thank you for your inquiry. You will need an adapter. The mic is stereo (TRS), while iPhones are TRRS).
