  • Overview

The white-finished version of the U851R, the phantom-powered U851RW features a PivotPoint® rotating output connector, UniSteep® filter and UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology. Offering outstanding speech intelligibility and transparent sound quality for surface-mount applications, the U851RW accepts interchangeable condenser elements—available for boundary microphones in cardioid, hypercardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns. With a heavy die-cast case and silicon foam bottom pads to minimize coupling of surface vibration to the microphone, the U851RW is equipped with self-contained electronics, eliminating the need for an external power module.

I am looking for a wireless microphone that can be mounted on a podium other than the normal microphones that stick high, because we have teenagers that using it and they have damaged few so far, and I think this microphone I can mount it firmly on the podium and will be harder for the teenagers to damage it.

I read in the specs that I can use it with a body pack wireless system, would you please provide me with complete information on witch equipment I need to purchase to be able to use this microphone wirelessly.

    Thank you in advance

    Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. This microphone cannot be used as a wireless microphone, although we do have a wireless version, the U851cW. Please note that the U851cW is terminated only for an Audio-Technica wireless system.

My previous question was to know which Audio-Technica transmitter and receiver I can connect the U851CW to be able to use it, the reason this microphone is its type of microphone, if you have the same type of microphone that I can use as wireless, please let me know.

    Thank you in advance
