    Best Uses

Comments about Audio-Technica AT898 Subminiature Cardioid Condenser Lavalier Microphone:

Sensitive enough to do just about anything you want to do with it. Don't try to operate it without a wind screen on it however. Sound quality second to no other piece of equipment. Ours get's pretty steady (at least twice a week) use and after 3+ years still hanging in there. Couldn't find and still can't find a dealer to service us. Whoever sold total unit didn't hide a business card anyplace. All the people who were involved now moved or gone. This internet site can't come up with a service or sales rep either much less a dealer.

Mics for old at body packs

Our church has a very old audio-technica wireless rackmount system. The body pack is an ATW-T31 and I can not get the AT 829 mics to work with this unit. The 829 mic works well with the ATW-T27 body pack of the external unit that we have.
If these are condenser mics, would the wiring be different on the two units?

Will this mic work with the ATW-T310B

        • A:

The wireless version of the AT898 (wired) that will work with Audio-Technica UniPak Bodypack Transmitters is the AT898cW. This includes the ATW-T310b transmitter. The microphone needs to have a "cW" in the title in order to be compatible with most Audio-Technica wireless transmitters.

Any microphone that has "cW" in the title will work with the following Audio-Technica Wireless Systems
          - System 8 / 9 / 10
          - Pro Series 3 / 5
          - 200 / 700 / 1800 / 2000 / 3000 / 4000 / 5000 Series
