I'd like to clean the grille of my old reliable PRO 3H ... any recommendations?

I've been singing into this terrific vocal mic for years, and the only "tune-up" it's in need of is a gentle, but thorough, cleansing of the grille. Can it be screwed off? It sounds so good that I haven't wanted to mess with it, simply putting it away in its lint-free, cloth bag 'n storing away when not in use.
Thank you for the amazing product!

Thank you for your inquiry. The head shell screws off very easily. Once it is off you will need to remove the foam windscreen that is inside the head shell. You may need to use tweezers to remove it. You can wash the windscreen in mild soap and water, but make sure it is completely dry before putting it back into the head shell. Please note if you find the windscreen to be dry rotted, you will need to contact our parts department for a replacement at (330)686-2600 option 4. The head shell itself can be cleaned with a soft bristle brush and wiped clean with a slightly damp cloth. Once again, make sure everything is completely dry before reassembly.
