The new Engineered Sound. Contractor-exclusive innovations for every acoustical challenge. And safe haven from RFI.

With durable construction and unobtrusive appearance, the ES933C offers versatile solutions for speech, theater, orchestra and choir sound reinforcement and recording. The microphone's low-profile element provides a uniform cardioid polar pattern with 120ş acceptance angle. Available in two colors: black (ES933C); white (ES933WC), the microphone offers unsurpassed immunity from radio frequency interference thanks to UniGuard® innovations. The ES933C also offers an 80 Hz low-cut UniSteep® filter that reduces pickup of low-frequency ambient noise.

    Answer:
Simply put, the ES933c is a cardioid/uni-directional hanging microphone which is exclusively sold through Audio-Technica sound-contractors. The AT835 is a discontinued shotgun microphone (the pattern is well more narrow than the ES933c). The current replacement is the AT8035.

To more closely compare the specifications of the AT8035/AT835 and the ES933, please visit the audio-technica website at:

    Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. The two microphones are very similar, although the U853R is slightly more sensitive. Please note that the ES933C is only available via Audio-Technica registered Sound contractors. You will not find this in a store or on line.
