Q:U857Q - Battary
A:The U857Q will NOT accept a battery. It features an XLR barrel connection for "Quick" mounting (Q). I double-checked the information on our web page, and we do not mention the use of a battery.
A:The U857Q Series of Gooseneck Microphones are phantom powerable only. The U857A Series can be either phantom or battery powered. The U857A Series microphones use an inline power module, the AT8531, which accepts a single AA 1.5V battery to power the microphone when phantom power is not available.
Q:where can I buy one of these?
A:Thank you for your inquiry. These are available at any Audio-Technica authorized dealer both on line or an actual store. Please use the dealer locator on our home page at www.audio-technica.com to find a store in your area.
