Designed for use on professional tours, in stadiums, concert halls, houses of worship and other demanding audio environments, Audio-Technica’s dual-receiver Artist Elite® 5000 Series provides incredible audio quality and proven, critically acclaimed performance for artists, broadcasters and presenters worldwide.

The newly upgraded 5000 Series sets standards for wireless live sound, with its dual-compander circuitry that processes high and low frequencies separately. It also features A-T’s proprietary IntelliScan™ capability, 996-channel frequency agility, True Diversity operation, soft-touch controls, digital Tone Lock™ squelch, backlit LCD displays on all transmitters, and locking battery doors on the UniPak® body-pack transmitters.

With two independent True Diversity receivers in a single full-rack housing, the 5000 Series conserves rack space while providing outstandingly reliable and flexible performance. Receivers may be linked to form a complete system in which the built-in IntelliScan capability automatically determines and sets the best available frequencies on all linked receivers. Equipped with Ethernet ports, the 5000 Series receiver allows computer management and control from anywhere via new wireless control software; access computer control from a front-of-the-house rack in the same room, or clear across the country, making it truly a 21st century product.

Multiple system configurations are available, with handheld vocal microphone/transmitters and UniPak® body-pack transmitters designed for use with lavalier, headworn and instrument microphones as well as electric guitars.

    Love the AEW wireless rigs

Comments about Audio-Technica 5000 Series Frequency-agile True Diversity UHF Wireless Systems:

I own over 14 AEW-T1000s, 12 handhelds(T4100, T3300, T5400) & 18 receivers so I can mix & match bodypacks & HH options for rentals, tours, etc. My clients are always pleased with the sonic quality & ease of use of the AEW rigs. I also use these in my personal setup when touring with my band & opening for larger acts. My personal favorite capsule is the 5400 for my voice but as the price suggests it should be my favorite. That mic is butter!!

Comments about Audio-Technica 5000 Series Frequency-agile True Diversity UHF Wireless Systems:

I am a mobile DJ in Las Vegas and I knew I would need the best in wireless mics so my first stop was here. I love this mic but it is very technical to use, but on the flip side once it's set up it'll rock for you every time! I DJ 60 weddings a year and needed something that would last for years to come and these mics are the answer! I connect to a Bose L1 Model 1 and the pairing of the 2 in a match made in heaven!

The configuration I am looking at employing in my church is the AEW-5416a my question is, can you use all 4 microphones at the same time? it comes with 2 handhelds and 2 body packs and since it is a dual receiver does it have the capability of handling two mics per channel simultaneously?
Asked on 4/22/2016 by Josh from Illinois

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

With any and all wireless systems, the rule is one transmitter per receiver at a time. This means that you will need the same number of receivers as you want to have microphones operating simultaneously. Some systems on the market that are sold as multiple microphone transmitters and a single case receiver are actually multiple receivers built into a single casing, similar to the 5000 Series.

This means that with a single 5000 Series receiver (dual channel), you may use two transmitters at the same time. If you want to operate 4 transmitters simultaneously, you will need 4 receivers.

are there any rechargeable batteries that can be used with Artist Elite 5000 wireless microphones?
Asked on 8/20/2014 by rfreeman094 from Elkin, NC, USA

          1 answer

          • A:

Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) type batteries typically provide good results when used in wireless microphone trasnmitters. One with a high mAh rating, say 2100 mAh or higher, can provide run times comparable to that of a non-rechargable alkaline type battery.

1/4 to the body pack? I want to use the pack with a guitar.
Asked on 1/15/2014 by Austin from Huntington Beach, CA, USA

          1 answer

          • A:

The 1/4" to 4-PIN HRS connector for the 4000 / 5000 Series bodypack transmitter (AEW-T1000a), and other current Audio-Technica transmitters (excluding the PRO88w and ATR288w) are the following:
            - AT-GcW
            - AT-GcW PRO
            - AT-GRcW
            - AT-GRcW PRO

*PRO - means it has a metal, instead of a molded, connector.
*R - means that the connector is right-angle.
*cW - means it will mate properly to all current Audio-Technica transmitters, except the PRO88w and ATR288w.

            Thanks!

How many recievers can be linked? Also can I use the antenna distribution hubs on the 5000 series?
          Asked on 3/29/2012 by TimCFOH

          1 answer

          • A:

Thank you for your inquiry. There is really no limit to the number that can be linked, although you would have a practical limitation based on the number of systems that can be used at the same time due to frequency. As for antenna distribution we have the AEW-DA550C and the AEW-DA660D for this system.
