        A:

System 8 is a wireless microphone system. This means that only a microphone can be connected to the transmitter. Therefore, headphones/earbuds cannot be connected directly to the transmitter. ATUS does, however, offer the M2 and M3 Wireless In-Ear Monitor Systems.

If you have any further questions and/or to determine which IEM system will best meet your needs, please contact the Audio-Technica United States (ATUS) Audio Solutions Team at:

    • Q:

I have bought the system 8 VHF 171.905 MHz two years ago.
For a few months,I have the problem with the interference, standing waves, causing very laud, very powerful noise from the speakers which is created in very specific places in the room when I move with the microphone or even if somebody is walking in the room without microphone. The noise is created even if the microphone is switched of (red diode) but with batteries inside.
What is the reason for such interference and what I can do with it?
I checked carefully all connections in the box and in the microphone and it looks ok.
In the shop (Bloor St. Toronto) they wanted about 100$ or more to check it and maybe (?) to repair...
They are selling the same system now for 137$Can.

I am thinking to use additional capacitor in the box or in the microphone to remove unwanted interference,
but I am not sure how to do it exactly and if it will help.
      I will appreciate your answer.

I bought a System 8 with the lavalier system and some of the old school people would rather have a regular mic. Is it possible to buy just a mic that matches the frequency 171.905

I bought the system 8 VHF wireless system, I followed the install instructions. When I am using the microphone it will shut itself off and then a loud "white noise/ squelch" sound comes through the system speakers. I run an American legion and I use it for our volunteer activities, its causing a major problem for our non-profit. is there a way to stop the microphone from doing this?? Thank you Diane Ellison

      Thanks, Bob

        A:

The System 8 is a fixed frequency system while the System 9 has 4 selectable frequencies. When using wireless systems simultaneously, you will want to make certain all of the systems and frequencies are compatible.

Please contact our Audio Solutions Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5000 or at audio-solutions@atus.com for additional assistance with this.
