    • Q:

Can I buy just the ATW-801/L-T2?

I have purchased 2 wireless system 8 with handheld microphone. Can I also purchase a separate ATW-801/L-T2 with the same frequency as one of the ATW-802 receivers, and use either the handheld mic OR the guitar cable/uni-pack transmitter? I don't see that option. I mainly do solo work, and would like the option.

      • A:

Yes, you may purchase just the UniPak transmitter (ATW-T801 *same frequency as your receiver) and use either the handheld or UniPak transmitter.

    • Q:

Does the audio-technica System 8 wireless system work with portable speakers?

I purchased the wireless system 8 to use as I am an exercise instructor. I travel around and want to use my own traveling speakers as well. (I don't have speakers yet) Is this system compatible with this? If so, what speakers would you recommend? I am in small and midsize studios. I am a spinning instructor and can't be fussing with different clubs sound systems. Am I wishing for a genie in a bottle? LOL

Please help me get this figured out! Thank you so much.

      • A:

The System 8 will connect to any PA System that has a 1/4" Microphone Input. Since there are a plethora of powered speakers and PA Systems that a System 8 can integrate with, it would be best to contact a local Audio Retailer to have them set-up a system for you. Audio-Technica features an Authorized Dealer List and Locator on www.audio-technica.com. For the location you listed, there are two authorized dealers that can assist you with the purchase of powered loud-speakers/PA-System for use with your Audio-Technica System 8.

If you have any further questions or for any further correspondence, please include your original question and this response, and contact the ATUS (Audio-Technica United States) Audio Solutions Team at:

    • Q:

Simultaneous used of products, Wireless Mics

If I have a 200 series ATW-T202 and buy a different series, will there be a disturbance or can't I use them simultaneous.
Asked on 5/12/2014 by Belle from Jacksonville, NC, USA

      1 answer

      • A:

System 8 wireless systems are compatible with 200 Series wireless systems as long as they are on different operating frequencies. Each series is made in 3 different fixed frequencies. Choose a System 8 frequency that is different from the 200 Series systems frequency.

    • Q:

What's the difference between system9 and system8 of your wireless products?

I see you sell one for instruments and another one for speaking. but is there a real difference in sound quality?
      Asked on 3/11/2014 by lare

      1 answer

      • A:

The sound quality for both systems are the same. HOWEVER, the System 9 is frequency-agile. In this case, that means that it has four selectable frequencies. The System 8 is a fixed frequency wireless system; the frequency cannot be changed and is not selectable. Please Note that System 8 and System 9 are not compatible for simultaneous use.

I'm newto the wireless community.. what is the difference in the frequencies? Is it different for certain guitars and amps?

      • A:

Having different frequencies permits the simultaneous operation of mutiple wireless systems in the same location. Each wireless microphone/transmitter must operate on its own frequency. System 8 VHF Wireless Systems are available in 3 different frequencies, therefore the maximum number of System 8 systems that can be operated simultaneously is 3.

Thank you for your inquiry. Any of the frequencies are fine. The different frequencies are available to allow multiple system to be used at the same time.

Provided that your Mac computer has a 1/8" input, then It will be possible to connect the System 8 to your computer by way of the HOSA CMP110 1/4" Mono to 1/8' Stereo cable.

It is important to note that you can use the System 8 and this cable to connect to your Mac for the purpose of recording, provided that you are using recording software. You will likely not be able to broadcast the audio through your computer speakers.

If you have any further questions, please contact the Audio-Technica Audio Solutions Team, and provide details related to your question.

Can the Country Man Isomax headset work with The System 8 VHS Wireless System?

Is the System 8 Body Pack compatible with the Countryman Isomax headset with hirose connector?
      Asked on 6/14/2013 by Trent10

      1 answer

      • A:

The Countryman Isomax product page has a "Configure" section, where you can select what wireless system you'd like to use their headset with. If you don't see the T801, then look for the Audio-Technica T35 and that should match up properly. However, to be fully certain the microphone will work properly with a System 8, please contact Countryman.

        Thanks!
