    The Pro Series 3 Wireless has been discontinued and replaced with the Audio-Technica System 8 VHF Wireless Systems.

    Pro Series 3 systems provide rock-solid performance, easy operation and clear sound quality. Available in handheld, headworn, guitar, lavalier and body-pack configurations, the Pro Series 3 Wireless Systems are single-channel, fixed-frequency systems available in three VHF travelling frequencies (169.505, 170.245, and 171.905 MHz) that operate outside the range of US broadcast television. All three fixed-frequency systems work together with no interference from TV channels, and no frequency coordination is required.

    Each Pro Series 3 Wireless System includes a PRO-R300 receiver and either a body-pack transmitter or handheld microphone/ transmitter. The PRO-R300 is a non-diversity, single-channel receiver with advanced dipole antenna design for extended operating range, which improves operation by providing a ground element in addition to the usual signal element. The PRO-R300 also offers volume control along with AF Peak, RF and Power indicator lights. All components fit conveniently in an included rugged case, ideal for storage and use on the road.

      What's the difference between this Series 3 and other series?

      What's the difference between this Series 3 and other series? for example System 8 and 200 Series Freeway. As far as I understand Series 3 vs 5, same as 200 Series vs 700 Series, same as System 8 vs System 9 - the diff is "Frequency-agile". And that is clear, but what is the mail diff in few words between Series 3 and System 8 and 200 Series Freeway?
      Which is better if I need something simple for a little church (mostly for talking; not singing)?

        As long as you do not require more than three Pro Series 3 VHF systems to operate simultaneously and a single unbalanced 1/4 inch output connector meets you placement/connection needs, the Pro Series 3 should be fine for you. If you do require more than 3 systems or prefer a balanced XLR ouput connector in addition to an unbalanced 1/4 inch connector, consider the next model up, the Pro Series 5 UHF system. The model number of the lapel system is ATW-501/L.
