SpectraPulse® System Components
Audio-Technica’s
SpectraPulse® Ultra Wideband wireless microphone system components include: mtu101 Microphone Transmitter Unit; mtu201 XLR Desk Stand Transmitter; mtu301 Body-pack Transmitter; drm141 Digital Receiver Module; aci707 Audio Control Interface; rcu104 Receiver Coordinator Unit ; and cei007 Charger Encryption Interface.
The mtu101 Microphone Transmitter Unit (in a boundary mic design) features a programmable touch-sensitive switch (that can be programmed for push-to-talk, push-to-mute, or toggle operation) and 9-hour rechargeable battery life.
The mtu201 XLR Desk Stand Transmitter is optimized to work with Audio-Technica Engineered Sound® gooseneck microphones with 3-pin XLRM-type output. The unit provides phantom power to the microphone and features a programmable touch-sensitive switch (for push-to-talk, push-to-mute, or toggle operation) and 9-hour rechargeable battery life.
The mtu301 Body-pack Transmitter allows speakers the flexibility to transmit audio as they move throughout the entire SpectraPulse coverage area. The mtu301 can be used with Audio-Technica Wireless Essentials® lavalier and headworn microphones. The unit provides bias voltage for electret condenser microphones. It offers rugged metal housing, an on/off switch, a mute switch, and LEDs indicating power/mute and link status as well as low-battery warning. Operates using 2 standard alkaline or NiMH rechargeable AA batteries.
The drm141 Digital Receiver Module consists of a completely integrated UWB antenna and 14 channels of digital wireless transceiving (that mounts in a 3-gang electrical box) with power and data carried over a Cat-5 connection.
The aci707 Audio Control Interface is a 1U rack mounting unit allowing the demultiplexing and audio output of up to seven channels, which are simply selected on the mtu101 Microphone Transmitter Unit. Seven distinct line/mic level audio outputs are provided on standard Phoenix-type connectors.
SpectraPulse innovations continue with the addition of the rcu104 receiver coordinator that allows for expanded coverage area and use in adjacent rooms. The rcu104 is a 1U rack mounting unit that receives the data streams from up to four drm141 Digital Receiver Modules and creates a single data stream that can be interpreted by up to two linked aci707 Audio Control Interface devices. The rcu104 also allows adjacency, permitting a single SpectraPulse system to be shared by two closely located or co-located audio systems, in side-by-side conference rooms, for example. Another rcu104 benefit: the rcu104 enhances microphone/transmitter performance. For each connected drm141, the rcu104 Receiver Coordinator Unit also manages Ultra Wideband pulse timing, data coming from the aci707, and the correct programming of encryption keys.
A separate charger/encryption unit, the cei007 Charger Encryption Interface charges up to seven mtu101s and allows for encrypting the mtu101 units using optional encryption software.
The chg001 is a wall charger for SpectraPulse mtu301 body-pack transmitters using rechargeable AA Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries. It is able to charge one unit (equipped with NiMH batteries) in about 4 hours. LED shows charging status. The chg001 comes equipped with 2 rechargeable AA NiMH batteries.
