  • Overview

Audio-Technica’s System 10 is a digital high-fidelity wireless system designed to provide performing musicians and presenters with advanced 24-bit operation, easy setup and clear, natural sound quality. Operating in the 2.4 GHz range, far from TV and DTV interference, System 10 offers extremely easy operation and instantaneous channel selection. Up to eight channels may be used together without any frequency coordination problems or group selection issues. System 10 receivers and transmitters offer an easy-to-read digital ID display.

System 10 wireless ensures clear communications by providing three levels of diversity assurance: frequency, time, and space. Frequency Diversity sends the signal on two dynamically allocated frequencies for interference-free communication. Time Diversity sends the signal in multiple time slots to maximize immunity to multipath interference. Finally, Space Diversity uses two antennas on each transmitter and receiver to maximize signal integrity.

Featuring stackable, contemporary styling, System 10 is available in multiple system configurations, with handheld vocal microphone/transmitters and UniPak® body-pack transmitters designed for use with lavalier, headworn and instrument microphones as well as electric guitars. Each configuration includes the ATW-R1100 receiver and either a body-pack transmitter or handheld microphone/ transmitter. The ATW-R1100 is a digital receiver offering volume control along with AF Peak and Pair indicator lights.

Comments about Audio-Technica System 10 Stack-mount Digital Wireless Systems:

I bought these to use for a variety of purposes, but mostly for speech. My wife is the one who primarily uses these and she is not a techie. I wanted microphones with clear signal that were very easy to set up and use. These have been exactly that. We travel with these and never know what the environment will be like. We have never had problems with poor signal or interference in the year we have had them.
The lavaliers are a little delicate and we treat them as such so have never had any issues. If your treat your equipment with care it will serve you well.

Comments about Audio-Technica System 10 Stack-mount Digital Wireless Systems:

We have a least 10 UHF RF systems at our church. Thought we would get a System 10 to escape the crowded RF of our area. Worked with it almost a year now. The receiver is mounted 20 feet, line of site, from the speaking position - absolute best case set up! Sadly, The system Drops Out on an irregular basis, the only good thing is there is no audible click. This happens when anyone uses a Laptop or Ipad on the podium. A smart phone in a pocket of the person using the TX can cause the same problems. Even tried forcing other devices into 5.0Ghz ONLY. This did not help. Tried a friends System 10 and had same problems. I personally think the 2.4Ghz radio in TX is not powerful enough. Either way this system is not ready for professional applications. Sorry, love all your other products

Comments about Audio-Technica System 10 Stack-mount Digital Wireless Systems:

I really love this unit. I got it on sale for less than $300, serious bargain. The sound quality is outstanding, indistinguishable from cable.
I had to have my first one replaced bc the faceplate fell off and in doing so, the two little wires that connect internal circuit board to the front antennas came off. Despite being very experienced in soldering and electronics, I couldn't reattach bc the connectors had broken. Luckily I had sprung for the $29 replacement warranty, and the process was painless and prompt. I wouldn't say the unit is 'flimsy', as it was a drop from about 6 feet, (and wasn't the first drop, but it isn't built like a 'tank' like Boss pedals.) It's is most likely expected to be in a rack (like mine is now).
The sound is *excellent*, I would say that my range is about 60+ feet, which is more than adequate, and I'll tell you why... In reality, a 100+foot range is useless. I rarely go more than 30-40 ft away, so 60ft is plenty. THe reason 100+ foot ranges are useless is bc at 100 foot distance, you now have about a 90 millisecond delay between what you play and what you hear. The delay isn't from the unit, as radio waves travel at 3x10^ meters/sec (speed of light ;) ), no, the delay is from the sound waves getting to you from your speakers. Trying to play with that much lag/delay, you aren't going to be tight, and will easily lose timing with the band. Similar to the reason you need monitors on stage. And, if you are playing on a 100+ foot stage, you will probably be in a higher price range, lol.
So, for the price, this is a fantastic unit. I would definitely buy it again.
Battery life, Definitely opt for the Energizer "Advanced" Lithium. I did some careful tests, and they are the best price/playing time.
Name brand Alkalines got me about 4 hours, the "Advanced" Lithium got me well over 20+ hours of play. So they are 3x the price, but easily 5-6x playing time. Don't go for the "Ultimate" Lithium, ther was very little, if any, additional play time.

Lavalier model. Installed in small church, mic up front, receiver way in back. No interference, good signal, good sound. Lapel clip not as pictured. Wire spring on lapel clip that's supposed to hold mic lacks springiness, so just threaded wire through clip. Oh well. Set up easy, works great, good signal, no noise, no interference. Like the mute button feature on transmitter.

The system has excellent quality and I have had no interference problems with it. I was getting a little extra white noise at one venue, but it ended up being an EQ issue that was resolved on the board. Otherwise, the system has served me well for both live music and DJ'ing weddings. Speeches sound just as good as live vocals over a 6 piece band. Looking to buy another system soon!

Thank you for your inquiry. I'm doing well thank you! The nice thing about using a digital wireless system such as our System 10 is since it operates in the 2.4 GHz range you will be far from TV and DTV interference. In other words, no need to do any TV frequency checking. You can use up to Eight of these at the same time(eight transmitters and eight receivers) without any frequency interference.

                      • Q:

great mics - I've been using several channels for most of this year. I have had two separate instances though of losing signal between transmitters and receivers. First one was that the receivers seem to reset (lost audio for a while - 20 seconds or more)so it seems like it may be symptomatic of 2.4 interference from something nearby though I was unable to determine what it was.
today I had a presenter where the mic cut parts of his words and sentences randomly. Sometimes three sentances and then a blip and sometimes a few blips in a row. I switched to a different lav in the middle of his presentation (different channel, different body pack, different receiver) and the same problem happened. I had no issues with the 3 hrs of presenters preceeding him and battery was full in both instances. Signal to the receiver showed no change during blips. What could the issue be? Could this also be 2.4 intergerence?

I have an Audio Technica System10 consisting of an ATW-R1100 Receiver and 2 ATW-T1001 Transmitters w/ 2 AT829CW Lavalier Microphones. I am having problems getting both microphones working at the same time. I can turn on both transmitters at the same time but only the last transmitter that I paired will work. I pair #1 and it will work. I then pair #2 and it will work but #1 will not work. I then go back and pair #1 again and it will work, but #2 will not work. And so on and so on it goes. I thought with a System 10 that you could use up to 8 transmitters with 1 receiver. So far I cannot even use 2 at the same time. What goes? I have followed the Installation Guide on setting up the system. I need help.

                          A:

With any and all wireless systems, the rule is one transmitter per receiver at a time. This means that you will need the same number of receivers as you want to have microphones operating simultaneously. Some systems on the market that are sold as multiple microphone transmitters and a single case receiver are actually multiple receivers built into a single casing, similar to the System 10 PRO.

My two system 10 mics started shutting off on their own. Been using regularly once a week for my karaoke gig and one mic wouldn't stay on. First was blinking non-stop?

Is the System 10 handheld wireless mic backward compatible to the discontinued Pro Series 5 receiver? If not, what mic is? I have 4 transmitters and 4 headset mics. I need a handheld option for all 4.

                          A:

Unfortunately, you cannot. Those two components operate on different frequency bands and therefore will not allow you to do so. You can, however, purchase components to complete your wireless sets. For example, on your System 10, if you only have the transmitter, you can purchase just the receiver (model ATW-R1100). If you have only the 2000 Series receiver, you can purchase a transmitter (model ATW-T210a__ or ATW-T220a__). With the 2000 Series though, make sure you buy the transmitter in the same band as your receiver. If you need further assistance, please contact us directly at Audio-Solutions@atus.com.

The System 10 Stack-mount unfortunately is not built to mount inside of a rack. If rack-mounting is necessary, check out the System 10 PRO. The System 10 PRO is rack-mountable, and will also allow you to mount 2 receivers in one HALF rack space!

We have installed a system 10 in to a church hall to play through a PA system.
They have just added a hearing loop for hard of hearing people.

Is it possible for the Mic to be paired with 2 receivers (1 linked to the PA system & 1 to the hearing loop)
