  • Overview

Audio-Technica’s System 10 is a digital high-fidelity wireless system designed to provide performing musicians and presenters with advanced 24-bit operation, easy setup and clear, natural sound quality. Operating in the 2.4 GHz range, far from TV and DTV interference, System 10 offers extremely easy operation and instantaneous channel selection. Up to eight channels may be used together without any frequency coordination problems or group selection issues. System 10 receivers and transmitters offer an easy-to-read digital ID display.

System 10 wireless ensures clear communications by providing three levels of diversity assurance: frequency, time, and space. Frequency Diversity sends the signal on two dynamically allocated frequencies for interference-free communication. Time Diversity sends the signal in multiple time slots to maximize immunity to multipath interference. Finally, Space Diversity uses two antennas on each transmitter and receiver to maximize signal integrity.

Featuring stackable, contemporary styling, System 10 is available in multiple system configurations, with handheld vocal microphone/transmitters and UniPak® body-pack transmitters designed for use with lavalier, headworn and instrument microphones as well as electric guitars. Each configuration includes the ATW-R1100 receiver and either a body-pack transmitter or handheld microphone/ transmitter. The ATW-R1100 is a digital receiver offering volume control along with AF Peak and Pair indicator lights.

    Great guitar wireless unit

Comments about Audio-Technica System 10 Stack-mount Digital Wireless Systems:

I really love this unit. I got it on sale for less than $300, serious bargain. The sound quality is outstanding, indistinguishable from cable.
I had to have my first one replaced bc the faceplate fell off and in doing so, the two little wires that connect internal circuit board to the front antennas came off. Despite being very experienced in soldering and electronics, I couldn't reattach bc the connectors had broken. Luckily I had sprung for the $29 replacement warranty, and the process was painless and prompt. I wouldn't say the unit is 'flimsy', as it was a drop from about 6 feet, (and wasn't the first drop, but it isn't built like a 'tank' like Boss pedals.) It's is most likely expected to be in a rack (like mine is now).
The sound is *excellent*, I would say that my range is about 60+ feet, which is more than adequate, and I'll tell you why... In reality, a 100+foot range is useless. I rarely go more than 30-40 ft away, so 60ft is plenty. THe reason 100+ foot ranges are useless is bc at 100 foot distance, you now have about a 90 millisecond delay between what you play and what you hear. The delay isn't from the unit, as radio waves travel at 3x10^ meters/sec (speed of light ;) ), no, the delay is from the sound waves getting to you from your speakers. Trying to play with that much lag/delay, you aren't going to be tight, and will easily lose timing with the band. Similar to the reason you need monitors on stage. And, if you are playing on a 100+ foot stage, you will probably be in a higher price range, lol.
So, for the price, this is a fantastic unit. I would definitely buy it again.
Battery life, Definitely opt for the Energizer "Advanced" Lithium. I did some careful tests, and they are the best price/playing time.
Name brand Alkalines got me about 4 hours, the "Advanced" Lithium got me well over 20+ hours of play. So they are 3x the price, but easily 5-6x playing time. Don't go for the "Ultimate" Lithium, ther was very little, if any, additional play time.

the quality of sound is very good, but the microphone is almost un usable. If it is not in a mic stand and is being held in the hand you can hear every little movement of the fingers and hands.

Lavalier model. Installed in small church, mic up front, receiver way in back. No interference, good signal, good sound. Lapel clip not as pictured. Wire spring on lapel clip that's supposed to hold mic lacks springiness, so just threaded wire through clip. Oh well. Set up easy, works great, good signal, no noise, no interference. Like the mute button feature on transmitter.

The system has excellent quality and I have had no interference problems with it. I was getting a little extra white noise at one venue, but it ended up being an EQ issue that was resolved on the board. Otherwise, the system has served me well for both live music and DJ'ing weddings. Speeches sound just as good as live vocals over a 6 piece band. Looking to buy another system soon!

Hi, I bought the System 10 Lavalier Mic by mistake. I thought it was for guitar. The system was on clearance so no exchange or return. My question is, is this system identical with the System 10 for guitar? if so, I only need to buy new cable for the guitar and it should work identically?

                  Thanks,

Yes, just replace the lav mic with the AT-GcW Guitar Cable and you will now have the same thing as a ATW-1101/G Guitar Wireless System.

I bought both a System 10 rack and stackable. For my wedding this past Saturday, I used the stackable w/ a lav unit. Just shy of 45 feet the minister kept dropping out. Almost like a squelch kicked in.
The rcvr was 15" off the ground. Now, is the rack mount unit have a better rcvr front end or do I need to elevate the rcvr to a higher point?

Hi! We purchased the ATW-1102 from adorama.com for our church and have been using it 2 weeks now. We LOVE the way it sounds; however, last Sunday, Easter, we put in new batteries before the service and the mic just kept shutting off randomly, like 5x only 5 feet from the transmitter unit. There are no other wireless mics being used that could interfere. It's not a range issue, because I tested it walking out of the building and it still works! This IS our first and only wireless handheld mic. Is this normal for this mic? What do we do?

                    A:

Yes you may use them together but with the max number of systems at 8. This is due to the automatic frequency coordination with the "weakest link" being the System 10 Stack-Mount receivers not able to communicate with the System 10 PRO receivers via the Link connection.
