Great sound as long as you don't move around too much.

Great sound, but they can sometimes slip out of your ears if you move around too much. Good isolation. I've even used them for mixing studio work.

    Not loud enough

I purchased three of these for my cover band. Thy work great for a practice tool, but when everyone is a band fires up, there is just not enough volume to cut through. I have not tried the other ear buds or headphones yet , and that could solve the issue. AT does not seem to publish specs on the EP3's that come with the system so comparisons can be made. Bottom line, if you are playing any rock, this system will probably not cut the mustard for you.

Barely passable for a pro IEM ear bud

My band bought the M2 wireless IEM system. Two transmitters and three receivers. All receivers have the EP3 ear buds. We're a part time band, not a big production and we have struggled to make this IEM system work. It turns out that these ear buds are the bottle neck in an otherwise excellent IEM system. What can you expect? These ear buds simply can't handle the whole band mix even at super low volume levels. If you're buying an IEM system that's priced for an amateur band like ours, be prepared to add extra budget for ear buds that can handle the job they're designed for.

  • Q & A

Is there an actual specification regarding isolation/attenuation capability shown in decibels?

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not provide a spec for this for several reasons. The main reason is because passive isolation is different at every frequency. Also, ear tip design, size, fit and material will affect this as well.

How do you fit and wear the headphones? Where is the best place to attach the ambient mic?

We assume you are referencing an M2 or M3 IEM System with the AM3 Ambient Microphone? If so, the best place to position the ambient microphone is to be determined by the user. We advise experimenting until you get the sound you want.
