    • Q:

can the connectors be opened for repair?

Since the atr mcx are identical otherwise, i want to give the audio technica connectors a chance to prove themselves against the neutrik ends on the at8314; but are they soldered & assembled individually,or injection molded?...or something else? I'd like to know they can be opened & repaired if they fail.
      Thank you.

      • A:

Attempting to repair on your own and/or modifying any A-T product will result in a voided warranty. Since the ATR-MCX feature a Limited-Lifetime Warranty, that warranty would be voided with any modification or attempt at repair.

If an item has been purchased from an Audio-Technica dealer located in the United States and is in need of a repair, then it must be sent to the ATUS Service Department for that repair.
