I just bought your top of the line dj turntable at-lp1240-xp usb model, it came with the at- xp5 dj cartridge. What is the best upgrade phono cartridges for this model? I would also like to know do you still sell the AT-LP1240 USB model without the cartridge and if so is it discount or discontinued at this time? Thank you so much for all your assistance and please keep up the good work love your products. Very best regards.

The AT-LP1240-USB (non XP) is no longer available and that was the model that did not include a cartridge. Some dealers may still have some stock but no longer available here from us the manufacturer. For upgraded cartridges, I would recommend you look at our VM line of cartridges. https://blog.audio-technica.com/audio-solutions-question-week-can-explain-features-audio-technicas-new-vm-phono-cartridges/

You may use the VM95 family of stylus with the XP family of cartridges. https://blog.audio-technica.com/audio-solutions-question-of-the-week-what-are-the-new-features-of-the-at-vm95-series-cartridges/

I just ordered your flagship turntable that comes with at-xp5dj cart. Does this cartridge provide your best available sound quality or should one consider an upgrade? Thanks for any advice, Jack
