  • Overview

Audio-Technica's AT100E VM stereo cartridge features a structure that improves performance of the vibration system, allowing the stylus perfect contact to the record surface. Additionally, it adopts a lossless Paratoroidal generator coil system to their cartridge bodies that results in peak generating efficiency. Stacking two cores makes further improvements to high frequency characteristics by separating the right-and-left channels from the center shield plate, resulting in reduced electrical cross talk. The VM type AT100-seriesí dual magnet vibration and generation systems have been highly praised all over the world and have become a long-selling series.

This product has been discontinued. Please see similar model VM520EB.

A high quality replacement for my old Signet cartridge!

I NEVER bought a cheap quality cartridge for any of my turntables (since the early 1970's). My choice cartridge brand was the Signet series (owned by Audio Technica). Now that Signet is no more, I replaced my 23 year old Signet AM10s with this AT100E model. The sound I get is as full and non-distorted as my high quality hand-assembled Signet cartridge was, and I'm very happy with it. Thanks Audio Technica, for keeping up the high quality of the old Signet series in your current cartridges!

The AT100E is a moving magnet cartridge.

I have a JVC, model: L-A31 in need of a new cartridge. Would you recommend the AT100E VM, over the AT95E, or would the AT95E be better? I understand they will both fit my turntable, but would you briefly explain which would be the better quality cartridge? Ninety five percent of the records that I play are from prior to 1983. They are in good shape, just older.

The AT100E is a step up from the AT95E.
