    Loss for words!!!

I just received my ATH-E70's in the mail last Saturday. I'm a professional musician. I've shared the stage with Anita Wilson, Bo Williams, The Levites, Rick Robinson, Micah Stampley, Forever Jones, and etc. I must say these are by far the BEST IEM's I've EVER used and I've owned a few. If you're in love with the Shure 215 series this is a MAJOR step up. The thing I really love about these is the response is so raw, meaning no "modified" lows, mids, or highs it's just however that particular instrument sounds RAW, that's what you're going to get. The 215's had boosted bass which really hindered the actual tonality of the music. With these IEM I'm now able to hear my band at church and out on the road as a whole. Truth be told it's as if I'm listening to an album. So if you're pondering on getting these, just do your ears a favor and DO IT!!!

Can you use this to answer phone calls and talk on phone?

Thank you for your inquiry. No, these are Studio Monitor earphones.

I see some monitors on the market are built for specific instruments (bass/drums, guitars, voice/keys); I am a singer and bought a pair of these for live performance. Am I better served getting a pair of iem's specifically designed for singers, or is this such a pair? I'm looking to get custom molds made for them so I want to make sure I bought the right pair; thank you!

Each set of IEM and headphones will have a different sound signature and may be tailored to specific needs such as lower end for bass players and drummers whereas headphones where the higher frequencies cut through may be better suited for guitar players and vocalists. I recommend trying them out for yourself and see which will best suit your needs.

Does these have acoustical filters (earwax filters) that needs to be replaced or cleaned? Where can replacements be order from?

Please contact our Parts Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5002 or at for assistance with this.

What is the manufacturer's warranty for these monitors?

Thanks for your inquiry. The ATH-E70 has a Two-Year Limited End-User Warranty.

Where can I purchase replacement cushions for the E70 in-ears? Preferably a variety pack with large, medium and small sizes.

Please contact our Parts Department at (330) 686-2600 ext 5002 or at for assistance with this.

Does the headphone have serial number engraved on the headphone itself? I recently had this pair stolen and it would be really helpful to identify the thief if the serial number is on the headphone itself.

No, the serial numbers are on the box.

How many decibels of isolation should I expect when using the the comply foam eartips with the ATH-E70, assuming it's a perfect fit? Also, would I get better isolation from the comply foam tips or the silicone? I'm guessing the foam would be better...

All headphones are passive-noise cancelling because there is a physical object blocking sound from getting to your ears. However, "Noise-Isolation" is not a specification offered by Audio-Technica and other headphone manufactures, especially as it relates to headphones that are non active noise-cancelling headphones. This is partly due to the fact that there is currently no widely accepted and adhered to standard practiced by all top manufacturers by which an accurate noise-isolation measurement and specification can be reached. We do, however, offer this specification for our Active Noise-Cancelling headphones. When it comes to a noise-isolation specification, we currently ask the following questions related to it; "at what frequency?", "by what standard and/or test fixture?", "at which level?", etc.

Can I use this earphones for iPhone 6s?

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes you will be able to listen to audio with these from your iPhone 6s and they sound fantastic, however keep in mind these are Professional In-Ear Monitor Headphones made for monitoring audio when recording or mixing. They were not designed for consumer use with a phone and therefore will not come with an inline cable to control your music and such if that is what you are looking for. It is just a regular headphone cable.

Does the ATH E70 have a subwoofer .

Thank you for your inquiry. No the E-70's do not have a subwoofer. They are designed for monitoring audio so the frequencies are attenuated to be incredibly well balanced with high accuracy, detail, and clairty. This helps the listener get the most balanced mix possible when mixing audio.

Hi, writing from Italy. I've been looking for a dealer stocking E70 lately but couldn't find any. Any suggestion on how to get a pair?

Thank you for your inquiry. You may contact your nearest Audio-Technica Europe office for further assistance in locating a dealer. You will find a list of those contacts here:
