    a state-of-the-art masterpiece :)

Absolutely amazing headphones! I have never listened music in such excellent quality, now I cannot stop listening all my favourite albums. Cristal clear sound, optimal frequency response, very well balanced. Solid and stylish look, simple design, nothing redundant, no red dots or neon lines to raise attention and influence the innocent. I just do not understand why I did not buy them ealrier... These phones easily provide excellent quality audio-sonic experience! I use them with a very good audio CD player from the '90s and/or a laptop, both giving somewhat different but still wonderful sound. I've become totally addicted to listening music with Audio-Technica M35 :)

    Great headphones, solid performance

I've been using these for about two years for podcasting. I've worn them for hours on end and they're comfortable the whole time. Sound quality is great, cable is long and flexible and they pack up compactly for travel. I've taken them on the road many times. Great headphones.

    Great headphones, very reasonable price

I'm no audio expert, but these headphones seem to have great sound quality in all ranges, especially for the price. Plus they're very comfortable, even if you wear them for hours at a time. The only problem that I've had with them is the 11 foot long cord that can't be removed It makes using them while traveling slightly annoying, but it can be coiled and put into the carrying pouch in that situation, which works pretty well. I've had them for close to a year now and haven't had any problems other than that.

    Great overall product

I've had this headset for about half a year, and I'm pleased with the product. The sound is amazing, the phones fold up, and the ambient noise cancellation is very effective. The only complaints I have are to make the earcups larger, tuck in the cables that stick out at the joints, and make it so that when you wear it around your neck, it doesn't suffocate you. But a great product. Would buy again.

I have owned a pair of JVC model HA-D990 since 1993ish. at the time they were comparable to the Sony V-6 which was legend at the time. got them close out half the price (around 50.00) the JVC's finally broke down the ATH-M35's pretty good so far but noticed the frequency range and sensitive level of the JVCs tended to meet my needs better. but-- as the break-in period coming these headphones getting louder and better.

I've been extensively using the ATH-M35 headphones for about a year now, and I've been nothing but pleased with everything about them. I wear them for hours (6 to 8) at a time, and comfort is never an issue. 10/10. I primarily listen to reggae music on my pair, and in so doing I've noticed that the lows are tight, rich, and without any of the fatiguing muddiness I've noticed in other headphones in the past. Highs such as strings, horns, and snare drums come in crisp and clear, as they should. I've had no issue with the volume on my ATH-35s; any new sound card on a modern day computer should has plenty of options to drive the sound to the user's preferred level. My only gripe is that they didn't come with a replacement set of earpads, but these are easily attainable through Audio Technica's website. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a sub 200 dollar pair of headphones that will, with care, last them a good many years and faithfully reproduce any sound sent to them. Verdict: Buy. A fantastic product in all respects.

I brought these headphones after comparing them with Sennheiser HD 448 ( no offense just my preference Sennheiser is a goof Company) the ATH-M35's suited me more and boy was i right about them. The un-boxing happened rather quietly and i was amazed at the quality of the carrying pouch. I had intended to use the headphones for casual listening and also carrying them around but with 11 feet cable that may be quite a task and using these head phones on iPods doesn't do justice to its capabilities. For the Bass heads the start of point of the headphones is very low and crisp bass as it goes through the break in period you will notice a rich and fuller bass. The mids and lows on this headphones are just amazing. I am no audiophile so i better end my review here as these just sound amazing to me.

I'm a drummer. Can these be used to receive a monitor send, and do they have good isolation?

    John

As isolation is determined by how well the headphones fit your head and as each persons head is different, I recommend trying them out for yourself and see if they will best suit your needs.

Is this a good headphone for a podcast set up and someone new and not technically oriented?

    Yes.

    ATUS_Specialist4

Is this headset compatible with iPod or iPhone with out the need of any amplifier?

    raviteja

With any current-model Audio-Technica headphones, it is not a requirement to use/purchase a (portable) headphone amplifier to be used in addition to your playback device. However, if you prefer the sound of a dedicated headphone amplifier, that shouldn't be a problem either. Overall, it is your call to use (or not to use) a headphone amplifier. It depends on what you prefer. YES YES YES i use it exclusively for TV streaming Movies at night. I have a 3.5 adaptor so I can plug into my Roku 3 Remote *runs on 2 double-A batteries. WOW! sound is amazing amazing amazing. I have also plugged into my iPhone 4 just to try it and Yup its awesome too, and also my LapTop too - same awesome sound quality. YOU need to go the Radio Shack and get the 1/4" to 1/8" Stereo adaptor *if they have the gold tip spend the extra to get it - gold is best metal for data transfer, the reg stereo one works fine too. Be careful there are a ton of mono jacks on the shelf MAKE sure you get the stereo ***NO amp needed.
