I am looking to purchase the ATH-E50 for stage performing. Since I am an electric bass guitar player do these provide adequate bass response? Dave

    Double D

Thank you for your inquiry. I am a bass player (six string bass) and I have used these. They provide plenty of low end.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there has used the ATH-E50 in-ear headphones for beat making and producing as an alternative to the ATH-M50x headphones and was wondering how they were? Going to be travelling and don't want to have to carry around the larger ones?

Each headphone will have its own sonic signature and will not be exactly like the ATH-M50x headphones. I recommend trying them out for yourself and see if the ATH-E50 IEM will best suit your needs.

I have a few pairs of AT50 headphones- great phones. I have a portable studio configuration that I travel with and was thinking the ath-e50 monitors would be a comparable model to carrying the headphones around....Are the specs/performance close?

The two headphones have a different sound signature. I would recommend trying them out for yourself and see if they will best suit your needs.

are these earbuds single or dual drive?

The ATH-E50 have a single armature driver.

I have purchased ATH-E50 IEM's but the ear pieces are too small-do you have larger foam type earbuds available? If not can you tell me if the E-50's use the same size ear pieces as the E-40's? i have found an aftermarket product that fits the E-40's. thanks

The ear pieces between the E-40's and E-50's are the same. Both come with XS/S/M/L sized pieces. If you are using the smaller pieces, try using the Large ones.

Are there any other earphone sleeves/Styles other than the ones that came with it?

I have noticed that these have a removable cable. I am curious where some replacement cables are sold, in case the old cable goes out on me.

Thank you for your inquiry. These are available via our parts department.

Will this earbud work with the Audio-Technica M2R? Furthermore are these any better than the EP3 and if so, how?

Yes, the ATH-E50 In-Ear Monitor Headphones may be used with your M2 system. Each headphone will have its own sonic signature and I recommend listening to them for yourself. (I personally love the ATH-E50 and think you will as well!)
