Well i was looking for in ear head phones for a while, i bout beats by dre first because of the hype about them.....things kept slipping out my ear. I have the ws55i from audio technika and i was blown away. So after that i tried these i got them, put them in my ear and boom immedietly loved them. Fit my ear from the get go. really cheap for stunning quality sound. Highly recommended :)

    Incredible Sound Quality

I have had my pair for over 3 months and have had no problem yet. I turn my music up very loud (to the point of where it hurts my ears a little) and there is still no distortion! Incredible! I have a pair of $200 Beats By Dre over-ear headphones and these Audio-Technica earbuds have better quality than those! Strongly Recommended.

    Great Headphones!

Got these headphones a few months ago and have not been disappointed yet. They have some of the best sound I have ever heard from a set of in ear buds, and are amazingly comfortable. It did take a little while before I found the right ear bud size and position but after that, I have had no problems whatsoever. Great for everything from casual listening to intense music playing and recording. Overall if you are looking for a good set of in ears, this is it.

Is there a new version of these? Or something comparable?

    Nick

You may try the ATH-CKS550iS. https://www.audio-technica.com/cms/headphones/df8e8d4283832991/index.html

Hi. I own a set of this in-ear headphone for almost 2 years and today the left side stopped working due to a wire issue (bad contact) very close to the flexible rubber of the left speaker - I mean, just under the left earphone. I'm sure the wire had broken apart. Is it possible and affordable to repair it or I'll have to throw it away? Thanks!

Just wondering if these CKS55BK have a mic?

    Jesse

No, there is not an inline mic.

    ATUS_Specialist3

are these earbuds considered noise canceling?

    Stephen

Thank you for your inquiry. The ATH-CKS55BK headphones are not Active Noise Canceling like our QuietPoint line of headphones. They do provide passive noise canceling.

Will this work on Andriod devices? I've seen reference to it being labeled as an iPod/iPhone device, and i'd like to confirm whether or not it works with Android before buying a pair.

    Jacobematt

They work with any device that uses a 3.5mm jack for audio. Most Android devices have this, since it is pretty much standard at this point.

    BrianA

The ATH-CKS55 will work with any device that features a 3.5mm headphone output, such as smart phones and computers. HOWEVER, If you are referencing the ATH-CKS55iBK, the "i" in the title means that it is meant for "iPhone/iPad". If it is an Audio-Technica headphone and has an "iS" in the title, it is meant for all (compatible) smart devices, including Android handsets. You may use the ATH-CKS55iBK with an Android device, but will have limited functionality (i.e. you would only be able to answer/hang-up phone calls, skip track, and play/pause music. Volume-Control will not work). Thanks!

How do the earpieces extend? How do I extend the earpiece? I tried to pull, but I don't want to break them.

Thank you for your inquiry. The post itself does not actually move. On the post are different rings that hold the tip. You can place the tip on either ring to fit your ear.

Can I get some earbuds? I lost an earbud and was just wondering if I can buy another set of them.
