I tried plugging in the headset to both a digital recorder and also an ipad and neither would record my voice as I made a commentary recording for musical groups. What am I doing wrong? Is there a poser switch or a battery I need to put in place, etc?

    Greg Mills

Thank you for your inquiry. It will not work on an iPad with out a special adapter. I'm not sure about recorder. Maybe the same.

Is the mic on the ATH-COM1 and ATH-COM2 a unidirectional mic or omnidirectional? If it is unidirectional, is it cardioid or hyper-cardioid like the PRO 8HEx?

    Neutrino

The microphone is a Cardioid pattern.
