  • Q & A

Where could I try out your headphone products so I could find which one is suitable for my work?

You may contact your dealer for their specific details.

How does the M60X differ from the M50X or M70X other than "low-profile", two of three AT I currently own?

    AT Collector

You may find helpful information here:

Does this pair of headphones use any animal products for the headband and earpads, or is it synthetic leather?

The earpads and headband are not made from any animal by-products and are vegan-friendly, as are all the models in the M-Series line. You may find additional helpful information here:

Can you use a Bluetooth adapter for these?

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not make or recommend one.

Thanks for answering my previous question on the ATH-M40x so completely and quickly. My follow-up question is because I needed a neutral or flat curve sound headphone, I chose the ATH-M40x and I really like my M40x. I have read that the ATH-M70x also has a neutral response. So, what are the differences between the ATH-M40x and the ATH-M70x?

Along with the different sound signature, as you "go up the food chain," you get more features. For example, the ATH-M40x includes 2 cables whereas the ATH-M70x includes 3 cables and a carrying case.

Is the ATH-M60x tuned flat (neutral response) like my ATH-M40x?

As all headphones have their own signature sound, I recommend trying them out for yourself to see if they will best suit your needs. The ATH-M60x headphones use the same drivers as the ATH-M50x but as the cavity is different, the angle is different, the pad is different, etc., the sound signature will be different. The frequency graphs are not commonly distributed with headphones because with any transducer, the environment has to be taken into consideration. For example, when the slightest change is made to a headphone, such as different material of earpads, the sound is changed. That is why most headphones have a stock earpads and any other "optional" earpad is not sold by the manufacturer. Also, frequency graphs for headphones are not visually cohesive to what they sound like. Many frequency curves while sounding flat and giving a true representation of the original source, similar to the ATH-M70x headphones, have a non-flat visual curves.

I've had the headphones 4 days. Blue tooth just stopped working while listening, normal operation. Headphones can no longer connect to my phone and when I try searching for it with a second phone, no Audio-Technica device/signal is found. Phones can connect to other blue tooth devices, just not the headphones. I've cycled power on the headphones multiple times, nothing changes. Help?

Thank you for your inquiry. The ATH-M60x are not Bluetooth headphones.

Is the protective carrying pouch made of leather?

Thank you for your inquiry. No the pouch is not made of real leather. The headband and earpads are also not made of leather.

Can the ear pads be used as replacement pads fort the ATH-M50? If so, how can we order them (the ear pads)?

Thank you for your inquiry. No these are not interchangeable between the two models.

I love the audio on my ATH-M50X headphones but the ear pad openings are too small for my ears and the material seems harsh, tight, and results in soreness after awhile. I am hoping the M60X has softer material and moving to a smaller on ear cup would be an improvement. Obviously this is hard to evaluate remotely. Is the material softer? What do you think about the smaller on ear cup as described above? Thanks.

Thank you for your inquiry. They have a different feel since they are made of memory foam. I would say they are softer. Hard to say about the on ear. Some folks like on ear and some don't.
